I would say switch. I believe reptile bark is pine, pine is not recomended for balls. I would use newspaper, cypress,or aspen in the order of my personal preference.

Re: repti bark
I had gotten a bag of repti-bark by I think zoo-med which was loaded with mites. I'm sticking with apsen from now on. And, it's much easier to see the dirties than it is in the bark.

Re: repti bark
I have repti-bark in my BP tank right now, but I will be changing it over to Aspen once I get my RTB here.
I liked it at first, but I rather have the lighter look is Aspen.
And Aspen is easier to spot clean.

Re: repti bark
I've never experienced it myself, but I've heard stories of people's repti bark being infested with mites. I wouldn't take the risk.

Infested is an understatement for what I got. There were literally hundreds of dead mites in her water in no time. but, one treatment of PAM and problem solved. Even so, I won't use it again.

Re: repti bark
I tried repti bark before, and I didn't like it. Aspen is the better choice, more natural. I think repti bark is processed with some kind of chemicals. If I were you, I would use aspen.

Re: repti bark
Ok to prove how crappy that stuff is, get a handful of it and put it in a bucket of water, watch the water turn red within an hour.

Re: repti bark
