    This Little Sausage...
just hatched tonight. I was super excited, because I originally thought it was a girl - but it's a boy.

I think I'm even more excited about this clutch than the pastel clutches - this is my 50% possible het clown clutch, produced from my 100% het clown male, Oliver (produced by Justin Kobylka) and my beloved avatar girl - Echo.

What's really cool - is that these guys were incubated in the same incubator as their daddy!

So - only one out of the egg so far, but I had to show him off, because I think he's darling!

What's interesting are his het pied markers (although he's possible het clown, not possible het pied - unless.....Justin - who's Oliver's momma? LOL)

Isn't that how all morphs were created?
By mistaken genes produced with others? Maybe you have a het. pied and you never knew it. :]

    I think I'm a little off.. ahha.
He's very pretty! I like his color.

What a great looking boy! I'm so excited for you! Its nice to see Oliver took care of business, fingers crossed that he sent his clown gene to most of the clutch...

Robin, I'm not pulling your leg, there actually IS a story behind that belly.... you'll have to call me about his one... its a long tale but the "proof" just had her POS. Is that cryptic enough?lol

    Grats Robin!

And the rest of the sausages make their appearance - one is so pretty - but it's a boy!

Not great odds on this possible het clown clutch in sex - but wow what pretty babies! I'll definitely breed these two together again with hopes of better odds!

3.1 was the final tally - and the girl came out last and I figured that Deborah and I had both been hit with Ed's "all boy" curse he threatened last week.

    Grats Robin!

Now I'm intrigued! I'll try to call you later today - I'm in NC and we're headed to the lake for the day where reception is spotty. Maybe on the drive up there or back!

So - the girl already has a name - her name will be Hope - because she is my current hope to make clowns one day - and my first possible het clown female - hopefully she'll have some sisters join her next season, but for this season - she represents my hope!

And that light boy - I've sort of named him, which makes me think he might be sticking around, even though I don't need another male - but his name is Valentino for the heart marking on his head and by his tail. You can see it in the group shot, the third marking from the tip of the tail is a heart as well.

I wish I had space to keep all of them, because I am absolutely in  with this clutch, despite the odds, but time will tell. I'm going to be very picky about future homes for these boys! LOL

Robin I can't believe I missed this thread! They are all gorgeous! Congrats! I know they aren't the gender ratio you hoped for but they are big fat hatchlings and you've achieved a 100% hatching ratio on two clutches now. That's a pretty cool accomplishment the first time out of the gate. :gj:

They are chunky lil monkeys. Congrats on the babies. I'm still waiting for some love from the snake gods too. They have been rather stingy this year:(

Congrats on the healthy clutch, even if those odds are quite optimal. I'm sure you'll make up on those odds in the future.

Thanks Christie! They're already stars too! My brother is a professional photographer and came up today and asked if he could photograph some of my snakes for a symmetry and geometric design theme on a site that he visits. He's already getting tons of comments on the three photos he posted up! Little Valentino and Hope happen to be the two he featured, even though he took pictures of all four. :D

Congrats on some great lookin' babies Robin!!! Sorry the odds didn't work out in your favor this time, but hopefully that little girl will prove out for you.

I know what you mean about those curses of Ed's. I had just ask him how his "Pastel" clutch turned out and he told me he got all normals and then I ended up with only one Black Pastel out of 5 eggs a few days later, so I'm not talking to Ed again until hatching season is over. :P
