3:39 and 4:53 :P
Bill : "That was taken entirely out of context..."
Yeah, like your misquote of the speaker at the assembly. great job, bill :P
I also liked the very end:
"I have read it, Bill..."
:D

Re: BIll o'reilly gets owned by kid
But yeah, lolo'reilly
I dont see how he still holds any credibility after all his shenanigans... Oh well, it is the FOX news audience...

Re: BIll o'reilly gets owned by kid
thats the problem with bill- IMO he is on the ball most of the time, but when he isn't he turns into [an idiot]. as far as poor quality journalism, he isn't very far behind the rest of the news networks in terms of mis-quoting and taking things out of context.
-
Re: BIll o'reilly gets owned by kid
aaahaaaaaa I love O'Reilly but he did get Owned

I missed it also. Unless you consider having a disagreement of opinion as defining ownership.

Absolutely. When I watch news, I watch BBC America.

Re: BIll o'reilly gets owned by kid
i'll usually watch fox because there are some people that are very good, just not the people on prime time (btw, Hannity and Colmes are both worse than Bill). i guess i'm just so used to sifting through their crap it doesn't bug me any more, and i can concentrate on some of the good things they say.

Re: BIll o'reilly gets owned by kid
bill o'reilly is a human stain

Don't know. One interesting thing I noted is that MOST people who say he got owned are either in their late teens to mid 20's or they reside in some of the more liberal areas of the country according to the profiles. I just find the demographics interesting of how things like that tend to break down.
-
Re: BIll o'reilly gets owned by kid
LOL, I saw it!?!?! Am I in your demographic? lol. I think our brains are still in their prime, and we're looking for the burn.:P
He got burned, although it's not a "yo mama" kinda burn, just the fact he tried to take it out of context, so the kid did it back.
-
Re: BIll o'reilly gets owned by kid
Nice way to FAIL Bill, nice way to fail...
-
Re: BIll o'reilly gets owned by kid
What goes around comes around. I don't know that he got owned, but the kid definitely held his own and made O'Reilly look silly. This is a good example why I don't watch O'Reilly and others of his ilk, they're just buffoons with a TV show.

You're dead in the middle of the demographic. Mid teens to late 20's.
Sorry, there's no burn. There's not even something worthy of making a youtube clip out of from the whole thing. And when you consider the quality (or rather lackthereof) of things on youtube it's hard to believe there is such a thing as unworthy. And I should know I've posted many things on youtube not worthy of being shown to anyone

Re: BIll o'reilly gets owned by kid
Colbert's re-enactment of Bill O'Reilly's rant is so much better than the original haha

And i'm sure a VERY LOW percentage of Bill O'reilly fans are 30+ year old white conservative republicans ;)

You almost had me there... except I'm not a fan of O'Reilly by any stretch of the imagination. I just honestly don't see how he was "owned" or in anyway beaten by that kid. Sorry.

I know I'm in the middle of the demographic lol, I was more pointing out that most of this site is in that demographic when you look at the age of the bp.netters. I believe it's the majority, so it's almost a moot point to make those assumptions when the majority of the site is of a certain age.
Some may not have seen the burn, but like I said, wasn't so much of a "Yo mamma" burn, but it was Bill getting talked over by a KID while he was trying to misquote, and the kid correcting him, correcting him, and correcting him. Finally ended with Bill getting all pissy and saying "Your taking that out of context."
Wow. Exactly what Bill had done moments before in regards to the joke from the speaker he was trying to construe as some drug endorsement statement.
That's a burn, especially if your trying to make a point.

Well as somebody else said (in different words), it's not like the kid pulled Bill's pants down in public... He retaliated with the same strategy and Bill didn't like it at all.
Definitely 'worthy' of youtube ;)

I find it interesting that your the only person who didn't see the fact that Bill was being outsmarted by a mere kid.
Thats one example of what a burn is isn't it? When someone is outsmarted or out-talked by a younger, less mature person?
Why are you raining all over everyones parade and creating an argument when it is uncalled for?
I don't care if you have a sense or humor or not, don't post about it please and thank you.

Re: BIll o'reilly gets owned by kid
i think its kind of distasteful for a grown adult journalist to call a 16 year old a pin-head after correcting him on his own show.

People have a right to their opinions, regardless of whether or not you perceive them to be "correct" or not ;)
I'll gladly argue with somebody, but I wouldnt ever tell them not to speak their mind in the first place :)

I didn't mean it like that. :P
I'm just trying to say, what he said was kinda deceitful towards everyone who found it funny, not necessarily his opinion as he has his right to that. I don't understand why he was aiming to try to darken the mood.
Why can't we all just be happy! :gj:

And then there is me. I don't see that the kid did anything more than hold his ground. But then I am an over 30 white male and probably not worthy of 1st amendment rights as in the case of bsd13. Likewise I am no fan of Bill O'Reilly or any other entertainer.

You actually feel that because a person has a different viewpoint than you on a given matter that this constitutes deceit? Wow!

He wasn't just stating his opinion. I'm not a fan of billy either, nor do I care in the slightest bit about the show.
He was putting a stereotype on everyone who posted. This has nothing to do with a viewpoint, he wasn't talking about just that either it seems.

It wasnt a disagreement he clearly had not done the research on this topic and the kid corrected him.
