Playing with new camera! careful dial up people!
Check out the pics! got a new Sony DSC - H10 at best buy for $269.00. Still trying to get the hang of it. I am TOTALLY HAPPY with it. takes great normal pics, great low light pics, and fantastic close ups.

Can't quite figure out the lighting. I have two adjustable desk lamps. Each has a 60 watt flouresent bulb. I am using white foam board for the backround. I have one light on the right side, pointed toward the middle of the foam board. I have one light on the left side pointed toward the middle of the foam board. I am forcing my flash on the camera to fire. Are there any simple changes I can make to improve it? each of the pics had to be adjusted a bit because the backround on all of them was more yellow then white. Please help if you can!

enough talk! enjoy the amature show! These are the only ones I could get to stay still! the king snake I had to hold down!

Nice job man. I need to get a spot with some good lighting and give it a go.

Maybe I am making things WAY too complicated. I just took these pics without any extra lighting... Just the flash from the camera. I did not have to alter the origional photos at all.

I am going to bed. been playing with the camera way to long, and can't see straight... do you think the lighting is better in the origional post, or in these three?

    Awesome pic

Any chance you have it saved as the original resolution? Could make a nice desktop wallpaper ;)

With the yellowish wash over it; that's due to the white balance that's set :) Just set it as a custom white balance, Sunlight, or Flash to rid that problem. Sometimes camera's have difficulty setting the right color balance, so it gives it a weird wash of color over the image. Other than that, nice pics.:gj:

Wow great pics, and of course a great snakes! :snake:

I think the one with the tail over his head is cute! ahh

So why the $1? is it to demonstrate size or does he like them? :)

You are doing well with your camera. I just have a pretty basic digital camera. I find I have to be careful with the subject, so it is not too near the edge for printing purposes.

Many of those pics look like they could be in a book, so well done!
