    Pastel Hatchlings..
...Just thought I'd throw a pic up, these hatched a couple days ago. 3 pastels out of 4 eggs not bad :) I havent sexed them yet. The daddy is a pastel (purchased from MarkS on the forum, thanks Mark!) and mommy is a normal. Enjoy, I will get more pics once they shed. :salute:

Ya I think the normal felt a bit intimidated having 3 pastel siblings, so he had to show them up some how. :P :)

Phew... I thought it was just me as well. :)

    They look like ghosts.

Maybe in perfect world you got both the babes from a breeder that sold PH ghosts as normals (and pastels)... never know. Luck of the draw.

    They are gorgeous!! Congrats!!!!
I have to agree with everyone- those pastels are hardly just pastels~ what beautiful babies!!! And that 'normal'?? No way just a normal!!!! Will you post pictures of the parents? Yours is a stunning clutch!!! :D

    Re: Pastel Hatchlings..
Wow :) ...to tell you the truth...I paired the mom(sold to me as a normal) with my dinker for a night (some of you have seen, looks cinny-like) but they showed no interest in eachother. So I paired her up with a Pastel whom I purchased from MarkS on the boards. ...Honestly...I thought the same thing when they hatched :) ...BUT...this is my first pastel clutch...and I know they go under a serious color change within that first week, so I just assumed they hadnt gone thru with that yet.

I will go down and snap pics of the parents with one of the pastels real quick tho! :)

I thought maybe the pic was over exposed because they do have that washed out ghost look.
Congrats either way on some pretty babies:gj:

You are correct! :P I do lack skills in the photo department :) Here is a pic of what I thought were the mom and dad. Dad is the pastel and Mom is in shed.

Here is a pic of mom with the Dinker. I only had them paired up for 24 hours...but maybe that was enough! :O :P

    http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...t/DSCF5831.jpg

And here is another pic of the normal...
    http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s...t/DSCF5834.jpg

I duno...there is no black on the hatchlings...other than the normal. But I think the first shed will say a lot. The Pastel Came from MarkS here on the boards. The female was sold as a normal from Dave Thompson, and the Dinker was picked up from a private breeder as a 'normal.' I wouldnt mind something new tho :salute:

I don't think the dinker is the father...I'm thinking the pastel is a pos het ghost and so is mom....But how come there are no pastel ghosts? Confusing...

I know people that have hatched out clutches up to 8 eggs with one parent pastel and hatched no pastels... so just luck of the draw.

But you gotta love projects like this. Very exciting.

My 2 cents is that they are Ghosts that have started to go blue as they get closer to their first shed. I bet after they shed they will be a pretty shade orange --Ghost!! Now thats a snake mix-up to get excited about.:O Congrats.

Is ok, you can let it out! You did way better than 3 pastels in 4 eggs. Getting 3 ghosts out of 4 eggs on an unknown het x het is HUGE!

Wow..... I'm at a complete loss. My breeder pastel was originally produced by **cough*Damion Wyatt*cough** and sold to me by **cough*Morph King Reptiles*cough** And I don't remember which female was the mother. I had 4 produce pastels that year and all were normal long term captives. Did I give you a card with that snake Josh?
