    It's Raining Mystics!
Couldn't be happier with this clutch - nine eggs and ended up with 7 Mystics and two normals.

Not sure how to post the photo so it shows up in this window but here's the link:

We're hoping that it's a new line of Phantom. Breeding Mystic to Mystic has not been done to see if there is a super form - looks like the soonest that may happen is next year.

Oh wow, I even missed the addition of Mr. Dan Wolfe himself to our lovely community while I was "gone!" I bought a pair of baby het. albinos from you a few years back - they are doing wonderful and she will hopefully be a mommy this year! Much respect for you, and :welcome: !

I cant wait to see the results of this whole mystic thing :D They are looking good, and nice odds to boot!

Congrats Dan. What an awesome project. We could not get our Mystic to breed this year, so I guess I'll have to wait 'til next year to get a few females. I can't wait to see the Super.

Even my untrained eye can see that the two normals are on the top row. The furthest one to the left and the furthest one to the right. It's a subtle morph, but I think they look great. The whole key to them will be to see if they can produce an animal that looks like the one in this link. Phantoms

It looks good to me and I really hope they are, but the only way to be sure is to wait and see what the homozygous animal looks like. Of course once they're proven, the price will probably go up.

Wow, I must be some kind of loser! I still couldn't pick em out, even after your "untrained" eye found em for me!

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Congrats on the new Mystics. May they prove out to be "Super"!!

Look for the slightly wider dark pattern. As it widens near the belly it fades out in the center (called "flames"). Also, the smaller alien head light areas on the sides between the wider dark pattern tend to be light bulb shaped and only have one eye instead of the bigger ET shaped alien head often with 2 eyes. Not sure how common this is to the complex but I notice that one eye tends to have a halo around it in the mystics in this clutch. Also the yellow has more of a pale straw color, particularly on the back. Not that I'm an expert by a long shot but I did have some trouble picking out the normal that wasn't the obvious one on the left but I think that's just that it's in the back of the pic and hard to get a good look at. Are the belly clear of dark in the mystics? I saw a new girl prove in the white snake complex last year that didn’t have a clear belly but I think most of the complex has that.

They really look great Dan! Any idea of how long before someone proves then out as the same as Phantoms or not? I would think someone should be close this year. Never mind I just read one of your other posts about it, next year huh?:(

By the way anyone that doesn’t know Dan, he just happens to produce the best-looking Calico’s on the Planet. His Pastel Calico’s are the stuff dreams are made of.:gj:

I guess it's a gamble, pay the high price for a mystic and hope it proves out a super..... or if it doesn't you got completely snowed.... IMO of course..... :D

    Hey DAN!!!

First guy I ever bought snakes from. Glad to see you here :) Btw, albino project is going well, your hets are full of eggs as we speak, ready to drop.

I'm digging the morphs. How's the Black Lace project going? Probably have to just go to your website, lol...

    Hi Ken,
If I have it dialed in correctly this is going to be a big year for the Black Lace project. My eggs are coming pretty late this season, but I'll post be posting the highlights as they hatch.

I'm glad to hear that your albinos project is doing so well. Best of luck - please let us all know how those clutches turn out. There is nothing more fun than hatching albinos!
