    3rd and most anticipated clutch
The first time I saw a pic of NERD Bumble Bee couple of years ago, I fell in love.

I could have been patient save up the money and buy one, however after thinking about it I thought it would be much more rewarding to hatch my own so I decided to buy a Spider and a Pastel (of course a few other snakes made it to the list as well.)

So after raising both my pastel and my spider since they were babies time finally came to breed them which I did, and now my patience is paying off Zoe my female spider layed 7 eggs this morning (37 days after her pre-lay shed).

I cannot tell you how excited I am right now, this is my first year breeding and I am getting so close to hatch my first bee (crossing my fingers on that).

So now all I have to do is wait some more like 37 days were not enough already.

    7 Fertile Eggs – 609 grams

And poor Zoe is now back to 1405 grams!

Did I mention how excited I was??? http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...appyDance1.gifhttp://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...appyDance2.gif

Congrats Deborah. I think you have a pretty good shot at a Bee from 7 eggs. Just think, we got 3 Bees form 6 eggs. I think you'll do great. Although, I know that doesn't help the wait any. Good luck, and I am praying for a pair at the bare minmum.

    Congrats Deb. :)

Knowing how sweet you are on that girl I am ecstatic for you!

I can imagine how nice those babes will be.

Cannot wait to see those faces pipping... as I have said before *fingers crossed for twin girl bees*. :please:

Dare I say... after all your hard work with your collection and all the time spent getting other's husbandry on track... it is just good karma. :)

PS: Safe to assume that Robin has dibs on a male? :snake:

I can understand buying one too because being patient is HARD, however there are a few morphs that I wanted to make extra special by hatching them myself.

My Pastel is a grazini line pastel that I bought from a small breeder.

Nice Deb. Not to get too far ahead but what would you like to breed with one of your beautiful bees someday? Mine is het for ghost/hypo so I'm leaning that way.
