I'm sure quite a few people have done that. The numbers they produced are going to be quite random and depend on the size of the clutch but each egg should have a one in four chance of being an albino from that breeding.

I plan on pairing mine up this year but yes the odds are not really great when both are hets, i think its 1 out of every 4 eggs will be a albino. but if im wrong im sure someone will correct me .

Not exactly Drew. Each egg has a 1/4th chance of being an albino; not one egg out of four ;)

I've actually done it several years in a row. I have always produced at least 1 or 2 albinos in a clutch of 5 or 6 eggs. Each egg has a 25% chance to be an albino... I've got two clutches in the incubator right now that are het to het that should produce a couple of albinos for me... Yes I'm sure you're all asking, 'why is Mark still breeding het to het when he was producing albinos as long as 5 years ago?' Well, the answer to that is that you should really hold back at least 2 albino males in case one of them turns out to be a breeding dud. I'm just glad I held onto my het male instead of selling him off and placing all my hopes on his albino son.

Ah, good advice! I'll be trying out my het albino pair next season, and if the odds gods favor me I am keeping the first albino I get for myself! Thank you, Mark, for putting in that tidbit on keeping the het male until you can be sure his offspring are viable. :)

Heck, I hope my het male is viable!! :)
