Re: so....how old is yours?
Well, I have 10 snakes ranging from a 10 month old corn to a 3 year old Ball python that was given to me. I've had these snakes for varying times, the longest being a year for my first BP, but I've had reptiles and other snakes for years and years before. :)

Re: so....how old is yours?
My sweet Olive is a 6 year old... going on 7 year old normal. She is 3 kg and about 5 feet.
She has been with me for going on two years.
If I had only one snake in my collection she would be my girl. :)

Re: so....how old is yours?
i got all ten of my normal bp's on may 27th, they are a couple months old, but i already love em! and we rescued one kingsnake from where my hubby works, they were gonna kill it because it only had one eye, but my hubby caught it and brought it home. eats voraciously, and any leftovers haha but im too..afraid isn't the right word...cautious? to pick it up, its a wild animal, but it seems to be doing better around us, not scenting as bad when we come near, so thats good. :D i cant wait to get more bps though! i love them all!! :D:P

Thanks for that... my av is a portrait of my rat Ginger. She was a free-range rat that we had. She just recently passed away.
When I got her she was supposed to be a breeder rat, but she ended up being the most abyssmal parent ever. She would not even pull the pups out.
I took a day off from work for both of her litters. The painting is her redmeption. Rats die in walls in urban settings, and no one even knows their existance. So the painting is "Ginger Listening to Dead Babies"... and it is her communicating with her dead babies.
Jerome, the artist, and my partner, draws bloodlines as means of communication, so the bloodlines are her way of communicating with her dead babes, and the floral filligrees are life and growth.
Oddly though, her lack of rat social skills made her the best pet ever. People that have never been in our space do not believe that we had a free-range rat, but she was the best. We had water bottles throughout the loft for her, and she went back to her cage to eat.
Mostly she spent her time sleeping behind paintings and hoarding food in closests. :)
Thanks for asking,
Bruce
PS: There were 3 portraits painted of her, but we only have the one left, and it is part of our permanent art collection.
PPS: Not a hijack. :)

Thank you for posting a bigger picture, the avatar pic is so tiny its hard to see what is going on. Even in tiny form it seemed as if it must have a special meaing. It also must be nice to have a beautiful portrait to remind you of her.

Re: so....how old is yours?
We have had Foster since December. I don't know exactly how old she is but she was fairly young when we got her. And, we will have her until it's her time to go (or ours, whichever comes first). We don't believe in getting a pet unless it's for the long haul.
