Introducing: The Pastel Super Crystal Ball
Here is the latest in the new line of Crystal Balls!:D Here is a Pastel Super Crystal Ball Python... I don't know if it is easy to see on camera, but this little bugger has the same pink hue that had my family wanting to call the original Pastel Crystals, Ruby Crystals! I cannot wait for this little bugger to color up:headbang:!
Let me know what you think,

I LOVE when balls are all white or almost.
Theres just something about that morph that makes me want to hold them for hours and hours.

I fell in love with this picture even though its probably grown up now. The spider piebald.
    CLICK!

I found it some time on google a while back. Its just the cutest darn thing. D:

    Congrats Tom, another awesome snake!!

One has to wonder though... are you sure the white one isn't a "super crystal" and the colored one on the left to be the "pastel super crystal"? In the case of the Ivory, the pastel gene added color and did not remove any? I don't know anything about the crystal project, but that is the first thoughts that come to mind. I think the animals are stunning and are definitely a huge success... but as an outsider to your projects, I'm just not convinced of what genes are involved in the animals I'm seeing

I certainly can't wait for pictures of other Crystal clutches.. I'm sure you have some more interesting stuff incubating!!

Thanks for sharing and congrats on a GREAT season so far!!

    Regards,
    Bristen.

icy hotness all rolled into one.. er two snakes. those are awesome looking. If the pastel holds its pink hue as it grows that would be amazing to see. I hope it does. congrats on producing those two.

Thanks alot everyone! Again I am stoked that there is a very positive response to this project and that I even ended up getting a basement slave!:gj: As you will see when they get older they both color up a large amount... The Pastel cleans up the Crystal quite a bit as the color comes in... I will post pics of a Crystal and Pastel Crystal baby and adult pics soon.
The end results of the clutch were:
    1.0 Pastel Super Crystal
    1.0 Super Crystal
    2.1 Pastel Mojave
    1.0 Special
    Bristen,
I am 100% positive that the whiter of the two is the Pastel Super Crystal and from a few peoples responses, I am guessing that it is not obvious... If you have hatched out a Pastel Crystal and held this snake in your hand, you would have no questions at all.

    Hey Tom,

thanks for the extra information... I won't argue with the "Crystal Master" heh ;-) Perhaps I should go back in my photo archives (yes, I'm a ball python picture junkie/collector) and find hatchling pastel crystals to refresh my memory.. I have never had the pleasure of seeing those ball python gems other than on pictures... Many of us dream of landing on a project like yours Tom, enjoy the ride :)

Can't wait for picture updates as they grow and color up!

Congrats again and wish you all the best!
    Bristen.
