I have a question though...

for those of you that use firefox do you ever have any issues with photobucket??? I do. I have to use internet explorer to use my photobucket account. Firefox just shuts down if I try. Anyone?

I just use it for uploading my photos to photo bucket. Its so much faster and I love it. You can also use it as a web browser but I like Firefox much better.

I had also had troubles with Firefox and the Photobucket website, but once I downloaded flock I had no more troubles, and its much faster than waiting for photobucket!

FF, now especially at 3, is waaaay faster at loading the same web page, which I think is reason enough. FF has lotsa cool plugins as well.

But le sigh...looks like Sharepoint still wants IE to run well...but then I have IE tab, so woo!

O lordy, it's just better in soooo many ways. You really have to use it to get the whole feel for it, but here's a few pluses. First of all it is a much safer and secure browser than IE. It is also quite a bit faster. Besides that, there are some fun and useful things called Add ons that you can get that do just about anything you can imagine. I've got quite a few-one lets me take screen shots just by clicking a little button in the browser window, another lets me highlight a word and then choose from a list that pops up which lets me google it, look it up on wikipedia, spell check, look it up on amazon, you name it. I've got another one that blocks those annoying ads that pop up on some pages ( haven't heard the words "Congratulations! You just won 2 free Ipod nanos!" since I got it, lol) yet another one that automatically fills in those annoying registration forms for me...I mean, you can find an add on that does pretty much anything. You can also get themes for the browser to make it look however you want. It's awesome. And best of all it's free. I'd recommend you at least give it a shot and see what you think. It's not as though you can't switch back if you don't like it.

In regards to Photobucket, it has apparently been "hacked" (only some people are being affected and they see this).

I like the new Firefox, although I have to get used to some parts. There's no longer a right-click option to "sort by name" in the bookmarks folder? :(

I love it. I've been using the V3 Release Candidate since last week. I hate IE but have to use it for certain work functions. The screenshot add-on is very cool!

I'm a creature of habit and have never used anything but IE. What happens to my bookmarks in IE - do they transfer over?

When you set up Mozilla, it will ask if you want your IE bookmarks transferred over. If you say yes, they all end up in your "Bookmarks" folder in Mozilla. Come over to the light side, Robin! :D

I switched over my dad's computer, because browsing was so slow in IE. Even on a slow PC like his, Mozilla makes browsing twice as fast on the 'net. You won't regret changing!

I usually find IE and FF to be similar in loading speeds, but I use FF mostly for the extra security.

Installed it on my mac today...flawless.

I noticed a HUGE problem on FF2 when I would scroll with my middle mouse wheel...it would freeze up firefox and occasionally make the computer get all crazy...FF3 is so much smoother and has a lot of memory leaks fixed.

And of course a beta version is full of bugs. they released a final release which is very stable.

Almost switched back to FF2 because my favorite addon (Tab Mix Plus) wasn't available. :( Fortunately I found a dev version that seems to work so far. :) I wish they would have just added more tab options into FF, but then what would all of the addon developers do with their time?

Uninstall firefox. try reinstalling. Sometimes a fresh start helps. Its still fairly new, so there are definitely going to be bugs, even this far along in the game.
