Super Sulcata Shelter of Summer

Well its starting to warm up enough that I can put the torts outside every day....so naturally my GF and I redid their summertime hideaway. Everything in here is edible from the grass, to the geraniums, even the nasturtiums. I ordered this really really awesome grass mix from http://www.sulcatafood.com

But I just thought I would show you what I built so they could get sun, food, shade and exercise all at the same time. Oh and there is a hardware cloth and wood frame lid that goes over the top :D

You may be surprised at how well they climb. Be careful they don't climb out and wander off.

Nice set up though, very neat.

awww I love them! Id love a sulcata but I cant handle their size and the enclosures they need later on. Maybe one day i'll get a star/spider tortoise or a box turtle:cool:

I actually never have them in there without the top on, Im afraid of hawks, more so than them wandering.

Yeah space isnt an issue here, a family friend has a huge farm, with TONS of space, for a nice home.....when the time comes!
