Big News!!!

Ok so ive been busy for awhile but Id like to share some news. Recently I got an opportunity to intern with a reptile keeper at the National Zoo. Id be working hands on with all the reptiles and amphibs(snakes hot and not, turtles, gators, crocs, frogs, and more). Tomorrow I go in for a meeting with the head keeper and to see what its like. Id also like to share some pictures I have. A week ago I went into my moms kindergarten class and did a 45 min show talking about snakes and trying to spread some reptile love ya know. They loved it!!!!! :D

Thats awsome! I would love to take my herps into a school (my little sisters maybe), and teach some kids about them. That way they can all be eduated, instead of scared :D

It was awesome! I did it last year but only brought one snake in. This year they couldnt sit still they were so excited.

Wow! That sounds like a dream job! I absolutely love the photos of the kindergarten class. How great for everyone-- the kids, your mom, and you. Must have been all they talked about when they got home from school. :)

I have no idea if you'll have enough "pull" to arrange something like this, but I'll take Nick's idea a step further. A behind-the-scenes tour for a group of bp.netters would be FANTASTIC.

LOL for sure a tour would be so much fun! The interview went great and I got to help a kid from the make a wish foundation with cancer feed one of the GIANT aldabra tortoises. It was crazy 500lbs of turtle wont move for anyone. I thought big snakes were a pain YIKES
