Pretty New Girl!

Couldn't resist snagging this little girl. The pics are terrible but she has some gorgeous yellow-gold going up her sides, it fades into a sort of reddish orange before going into her normal color. I like her pattern, too. She's the future girlfriend of my male BP, he's nice looking too so I'm hoping to throw some nice looking babies in a few years. I had originally intended to get an older female so I didn't have to wait as long for her to grow up, but I fell in love with this little one.

Very pretty girl, where did you get her?

Got her at a local pet store. They got a whole batch of nice quirky looking babies in, and were selling them all for normal BP prices. They even had a nice ringer with a big white band all the way around the tail, but by the time I could get home, talk to the hubs, and get back up there, someone else had snagged it. :( I'm pretty happy with my girl though.

Which store? I'm in Houston as well and was wondering if it is a store I'm familiar with or not.

so your not worried about her not eating and all coming from a petshop? Im wanting to pick up a new snake and was thinking about looking at a local shop.

Nah. I've had experience getting stubborn feeders to eat, as well as how to deal with any unwanted bonuses (mites, parasites, ect) and the two girls I got were interesting enough for me to be willing to deal with any issues. For your first snake, however, I'd recommend going through a good breeder-you don't want to have to deal with any difficulty your first time out, and you might not have the experience to be able to spot or deal with the likely problems you'd have with a pet store baby.
