Where do you keep your rack?

I'm currently trying to decide where I want to put a rack in my home. I could just put it in my computer room, but my wife and I are currently clearing out that room to make it a temporary play room/new babys room for when we have our second child. Right now we have 1 daughter, but are working on the 2nd.

So my options are limited.

I could put it in the living room and squeeze it in the corner by the wood burning stove, (dont worry, we dont use it).

Or

I could take over half of her closet and put it there. But then you deal with having to convincce her to let me take half of her closet. The half I would be taking is my side anyway. What little space I use... LOL

Or

Convert the shed over to a snake den. This could be done, it is a deent size shed we got with this house when we bought it. It just doiesnt have electricity, nor heat/ac.... So I would have to run electric to it, put insulation in it, and figure out how to keep it cool in the summer.

Idealy Id love to put it in the shed, but Id like to keep my babies closer to "home" so to say and would much rather have them in the house. But then we run into a space problem.

Maybe someone here will have to just lend me 50k so I can put in
an addition. Sound good? HAHAHA :rolleye2:

and lets not forget the all important fact that I have to convince my wife that we absolutely need a rack, and one in our home! hahahahhaa

I heard BT over on reptile radio is "money bags!!" LOL jk. I keep my racks in the basement. Hope this helps.

We had our rack in our bedroom for a long time, now it's in a second bedroom. QT rack is in bedroom. :)

i have my racks set up in our guest bedroom which is now also my sister in laws bed room... in a month im moving into my new house where i will have my own snake room along with a guest bedroom and the sister in law will also have her own bedroom..

if you keep it in the shed you have to worry about temp changes because there wont be central AC...

thanks!!! ive been designing and photoshopping for a long time now...

All 70+ of my snakes are in my dining room! :O

We keep ours in the snake room :weirdface or at least thats what it is now. QT is in the living room and a second in the master bed room just in case! Lucky for us we set up both as we have two mojaves in the one right now and hope to be picking up 2 big girls and a het orange ghost. One of the big girls is supposedly gravid with lemon pastel eggs, but we will see!

All of the reptiles are in my bedroom. The invert's get a room to themselves. This way if I have to treat my reptiles for mites...I don't have to move all of my arachnids.

If I had another spare room, I'd move the reptiles in there.

well my rack is on my.. oh wait, you mean a reptile rack. :giggle: heh mine is in my livingroom in a corner. Next house will have a room for just the snakes.

Snakes are in the snake room which is about 15 x 10. Rodents are in the main part of the basement which is about 35 x 15 or so. QT is upstairs in my office.
