I'm sure it is. Too bad they didn't win the series at home in the JLA

the best part of this series is that the TV ratings were higher for the wings than they were for the pistons. and people thought hockey was dead....
    go wings!

It was nice to see Detroit win the Cup. Whenever an Original 6 team wins a championship it's always extra cool.

What's up with the people in Pittsburgh? That was the quietest celebration I've ever seen! Are they a bunch of fair weather fans in that city or something?

    I'm not a hockey fan...nor am I a pistons fan...I don't hate either...I just dont watch either :)

That being said...in all fairness, the redwings were playing in the NHL Championship...while the pistons were playing in the semi, now if the pistons were playing in the championship too, I think the numbers may have been closer...I duno just an observation. Congrats on the Stanley cup tho! :gj::gj::gj:

    Did you all know?....

The NHL beat the NBA in average attendence per game for the 2007-2008 regular season!...by only 6 people!!!!!

NHL average attendance per game in 2007-08: 17,147
NBA average attendance per game in 2007-08: 17,141

    That's awesome.

Ok Ok Ill have to give it to em... I was rooting for the penguins just because detroit has too many stanley cups and they need to share!! Sucks for the penguins to lose on a "garbage goal" but all that matters is that it crossed the line... Congrats to the wings.

i definitely agree with you... mainly i was aluding to all the ESPN nay-sayers who were basically saying that detroit isn't hockeytown anymore because people prefer baseball and basketball. i just don't see that being the case, and i spend a lot of time in detroit.

Wings for life! They don't call it the coolest game on earth for nothing!

Although I am a big baseball and basketball fan. After playing hockey for 12 years of my life that's where my heart is!

    :)
