    My First Eggs!
on may 16 i woke up to see my pastel female coiled up and was excited to find...

    https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil.../041_thumb.jpg

and after being attacked i found...

    https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil.../042_thumb.jpg

six eggs at 425g on day 29!

i cant believe she layed first considering she is the youngest of the three girls that i bred this year.

the next day i woke up to my normal female coiled up and i was happy to find...

    https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil.../043_thumb.jpg

seven eggs at 725g on day 36!

both those clutches were placed in identical seperate incubators both controlled by a herpstat ND.

so am i officially a ball python breeder or does that happen when the eggs hatch?

Congrats Julian. The eggs look great. I think you are officially a BREEDER when the start copulating, but you become seasoned after they hatch. LOL.

    Congrats Again,

oh you will see them hatch for sure! well pics anyway... i hope they all hatch. i candled them all and all have nice size blood vessels.

her weight at one year old was 1200g before breeding and after laying she weighed 925g. she has eaten twice for me since laying and seems to be putting on some nice weight.

Way to go at being able to read your snake well enough to know that she'd be healthy and safe to breed at what is considered a young age

    Congrats, nice clutches!:gj:

Every year we learn something new in this hobby and the more eggs you hatch the better you get at it.

Like a rookie baseball player, they need time to get better and build there record up!! LOL

Good luck with the clutches bud!!
