Where can I find printless newspaper?
Thinkn of switching some of my messier animals over to that printless newspaper. Anyone know if any of the big boxes carry it? And what is the going rate? Thanks to all! :w00t:

That's really thin- like 30 weight or something. I like the stuff from u-line that's 40 or 50 weight (can't remember). It's not as absorbent as the 60 weight indented but it's much cheaper and it still works better than the home depot variety ;)
Guess you just get what you want with the understanding that you'll still be cleaning a mess; no matter what :P
EDIT> Here's the uline link; it's 50 weight paper: http://www.uline.com/Browse_Listing_...sp?desc=Sheets
Re: Where can I find printless newspaper?
The pharmacy I work at orders stuff from uline all the time so I had them order me a box of newsprint. It was like $50 for 1700 sheets. Should last forever with my small collection.

I will have to search U-line some more. I have some larger animal plastic cages with glass fronts which I house some of my larger carpets in. The cages hold plenty of humidity and when whenever I check on them, I have to clean the bark off of the glass (it sticks), and it just a pain to reach my arm around inside the cage and pick little pieces of bark off of the front. I duno, it's hard to explain...but thanks for the help so far!
EDIT** I just checked uline and they have a location here! I wonder if I can walk in and just pick up what I need rather than ordering it and all that jazz?

I've used both and like the home depot stuff better. it's cheaper and cut perfect to the size I need. To each his/her own lol!
Re: Where can I find printless newspaper?
I use the Home Depot stuff too and it works well for me!
Re: Where can I find printless newspaper?
I just went to Uhaul and got some there. it isnt the exact size but hey who cares if you gotta fold or trim it. i dont
Re: Where can I find printless newspaper?
Hey everyone! Thanks for all the input! I think I will run to Home Depot tomorrow seeings the paper is <$10 there....and if I do not like it, I will shell out the $50+ for the paper at U-line. :gj:
Sounds like a plan! Hooray for plans!
Re: Where can I find printless newspaper?
You can do pickup at Uline. I have done it here in Atlanta.

Re: Where can I find printless newspaper?
I also get mine at Uline.com I buy the rolls of 18" wide newsprint and do two layers of newspaper per tub. I also have a paper cutter that I bought from them years ago which you need to get if you want to buy it by the roll which is easier for me since I have so many different sized tubs. A roll lasts a long time, the shipping is cheap too. They have a hub in Eagan MN so they don't have to go too far for me.

I think they call it kraft paper... Home depot definitely has it though.
Re: Where can I find printless newspaper?
Check out http://www.packagingsupplies.com/kraft-paper.html
I used to order from Uline, but have found Packagingsupplies.com to have better pricing (w/shipping & all that), and I personally prefer the paper they carry. I use both plain & indented kraft paper, and have also ordered their newsprint in the past...good stuff!

Thanks Kara, those are lower prices, over 30% less for the exact same thing. I wonder about the shipping though. Uline is really cheap for me since it's right in town, but it might be worth it with these prices.
BTW, has anybody ever used bogus paper before? It's supposed to be a recycled product thats thicker and more absorbent then newsprint from what I've heard.

Re: Where can I find printless newspaper?
Or you guys can just move and ask for some extra packing paper (for free!) and use it for the next year.... worked for me!
Re: Where can I find printless newspaper?
Check with your local Uhaul rental place. Thats where I get mine I have been using it for about a month now. Its been working great so far. Think it was around 9.00 for a box of 140 sheets. I use 2 sheets in each tub folded in half.

Wow, even with 5 dollars more for shipping, Packagingsupplies is still almost 16 dollars cheaper than u-line!! Awesome tip Kara, thanks!!
Re: Where can I find printless newspaper?
Oh wow! Thanks Kara!! The place I got my first roll from just the ROLL was the cost of this new place SHIPPED! Great news. :)
