One BIG egg.........

I was sure this girl had four in her........

Turns out she had 2 normal eggs and 1 honker......

Thats a normal full size sharpy, the egg is nearly 5 inches long.
I forgot my camera today, but I'm snap a few more pics of some clutches and the incubator tomorrow.

Oh the poor momma. That egg is HUGE!!! Maybe you'll looking forward to triplets, or a baby that comes out eating weans. :giggle:

I'm guessing that I'm going to end up hatching two normal sized twins, but I'll keep everyone updated....

Momma looked a bit drained, but soaked and had a long drink so I think she's doing fine...

Should be spiders, but she had a go with a mojo as well. I'm still to ever hatch a mixed clutch, so I'm kinda looking forward to eventually doing that. I breed several girls to both spiders and mojos hopping to see them both hatch in the same clutch.

Congrats on the eggs Bro. But, I just bred a Mojo to a Spider in hopes of seeing Mojos and Spiders (actually I was shooting for the Mojo Spider. Still about 85 days away though).

Alice, Ohio has been great, I've been swamped and will get pictures of the new office up shortly. Between CH balls, eggs and a few secret projects, I've been barely able to keep my head above water.

I've had 4 x times as many duds this year as I've ever had however I do not think its due to the move as they were mainly in my early clutches and as of late they are going great.

What would have been my first female carpet clutch ever was all duds:mad: 13 of them.

Ethan is adjusting great, he went from being afraid of Grandpa to giving him 10 x the number of kisses as anyone else because he likes his mustache:D

I've got one or two sets of twins each year that I've been breeding. Here a shot of a pair last year, I also hatched a pair of twin spiders two years in a row from the same father, different mothers.

I wonder exactly, how that breeders are able to tell how many eggs are actually in the female snake? :confused: I know you see them get huge when they ovulate, but how can you really tell?

Wow, thats a really neat thing to happen. If twins came out of that normal sized egg, I don't see why triplets wouldn't come out of that monster. :]

You can feel them easily before they ovulate. Once they ovulate they are harder to feel because they are squishy..

Eggs in a snake feel like large, oval, stale marshmallows. It's neat :)
