wait, all normals in the whole clutch or in the sets of twins?
Re: Twins are hatching...
Re: Twins are hatching...
ok, so in one set of twins you have a normal and a cinny... sweet.
that basically answers my question from a few days ago =]
cool deal =]
Re: Twins are hatching...
That is superawesome!!! So, I have a question. If you got two sets of twins from the same clutch, is it safe to assume paring the same snakes again would result in the possibility of more twins??? And could it be possible that the twins snakes could be carrying a "twin gene"??
Re: Twins are hatching...
Sorry about the odds! But it is cool that you got twins:gj:
One question on your math that is confusing me a littler. 6 eggs...8 heads?
one set of twins?
wouldn't that make 7 heads:D
Re: Twins are hatching...
het got not 1, but TWO (ah ah ah) sets of twins!
Re: Twins are hatching...
that is waaaaaaaaay too cool! congratulations!!!!:banana::gj:
Re: Twins are hatching...

It seems to me that most snake twins are fraternal - coming from 2 different fertilized eggs. After ovulation, if the follicles are right next to each other, I assume the egg shell forms around both follicles forming twins. I don't think this would be genetic??
Anyone ever heard of possible identical twins? (same sex, very similar patterns?)
