My plans in the future are breeding the male spider to the female normal because by the time shes ready to breed he will, hopefully :D.
    Thanks for looking!

I bet you could have worked out a deal to leave the spider there until he was a little more started. But this way you are getting experience with a newborn hatchling, so when you hatch out a full clutch of them, it won't be your first time. And it sounds like you have some good help super close by if you need it!

Of course we'll require an update when he sheds & eats for you! With new pics of course!

Arent good breeders supposed to wait untill they have eaten and shed to let an animal go?

I thought that was just like a given?

Bob Clark has alot more experiance than other python breeders out there, hes been doing what he does forever, and he is only 17 minutes away from

Hey Pat, I always thought that first shed and 3-4 feedings was SOP as well....

    Hi,

That is the normal procedure - but 17 minutes away in an emergency does make a difference.

It means that I, personally, go by the first shed and 4-5 meals before releasing any babies method, but there are a variety of ideologies and ways of doing things within the community. To each his own.
