Black pastel

It's been a few days, and I still want to turn cartwheels and make sickening cute gurgling baby noises. I went and held the daddy, Gideon, and felt so dang proud. We got 2/8 black pastels on the 8-egg clutch, so odds sucked, but the two we got are lookers.

2/8 is great odds! Better than 0/8!!! :D

That is one sexy black pastel. 1/4 still are not bad odds. :gj::banana:

Gideon has been quite active with the ladies, so I guess I'm not too bummed about the odds, but I love black pastels and definitely will never complain about having too many :aww:

Also on tap: Proving out het pieds, some pastels, and some spiders.

Thanks for the kudos. I love the purple on their jaws and the contrast between them and their siblings...I'd never seen a morph hatchling next to a normal hatchling, so it was just too cool to see the differences. All babies cool and beautiful, definitely none going to waste, but...it's a flippin' morph!

It feels fan-flippin'-tastic. I just noticed that my husband hasn't tossed the shells, yet, and I picked them up and inspected them. I don't wanna throw them away, either, so maybe I'll buy a little glass case thingy...

Aww! Congrats on your first morph hatchling! I would be sooo stoaked!! Hopefully this time next year I'll be hatching out some pastel and normal babies!

Thanks! I work nights, so I'm not being ungrateful and not replying. I got up to get a drink and saw these and realize I'm still so excited about the entire thing. Both BP BPs (heh) are doing great, and we've got a bunch of babies that need sexed.
