    Ordering a Helix
    Hey everyone,
I was looking into buying a helix since i am about to get a spider and i would like my rack to be using a more reliable tstat. I wouldnt want a problem to happen with my tstat i have now ruining 750 dollars of snakes :D. So I was wondering where you guys find to be the best place to order a HELIX tstat from (best shipping, price, etc.)

    Thanks!

Helix comes with the little stand and ready to use. You can also order direct from Helix in California, but you're closer to Rich (at Reptile Basics) so I would definitely order from him :gj:
He's a great guy too with terrific customer service :D

A female pastel? For super pastels? That's cool! Then save money and buy a male spidey... mmmmm.....killer bee....... :D

Sounds like you have your mind made up on the Helix which most people like very well, but I just wanted to throw this out there...The Herpstat ND is amazing for the price. Way more features than the regular Herpstat. I don't own a Helix though so I couldn't compare.

Herpstat and Helix are both amazing t'stats and I have both; though I have the Herpstat II and not the ND.
I liken it to choosing between the AP cage and Boaphile cage for my boas....both are great- just pick one!

You might want to get an 8 feet probe also. The Helix only comes with a 4 feet one, but you can upgrade.
    I also recommend Reptile Basics.

The 4' probe is long enough for a three-stack of cages and an 8-drawer high rack; just to give you some perspective.... :D
