Butterfly & Omaha Zoo pics (DUW)

Well I wasn't suppose to go till Monday but my plans got all screwed up so I ended up going today and had to battle the crowds which wasn't fun.
I had to stand in line for 20 minutes just to get into the newly opened butterfly pavilion. It was jammed and I could barely move in there because of how many people were packed in. So I could only take a handful of photo's of only a few of the many, many different butterfly's they had. :(
I didn't get around to any of the big cats, bears, gorilla's, orangutans, etc. :(
I'll just have to go back up at a latter date on a weekday like I wanted...

AMAZING photos! It's like I'm standing right there! :O

Your photos put mine to shame. :P I gotta take my camera in to get it cleaned. Photos are coming out blurring and there are annoying smudges that I can't seem to get rid of. :rolleyes:

My favorite photo out of that whole group btw was the black grasshopper. I think that's what it was. Sorry if I'm wrong. :oops:

I think it's some type of locust from Africa if I remember correctly. Cool though whatever it is... :cool:

Beautiful!! I love how you capture the expression of each animal in your photos. I especially liked the 3rd monkey photo - the black one with the small face. Any idea what kind of primate that is?

Also, I have to ask - what kind of camera do you use?

DUDE! What kind of camera do you have?! I am drooling over the quality of those pictures! I want what ever camera you have!

Canon 5D used for all pictures. :) I may have written down what that primate was but I'd have to check.

AWWW! Prehensile-Tailed SKINK! I love those guys... took care of one while at the zoo. I ended up being the only one who could handle/care for him cause he was so aggressive. You just had to know how to approach him.

Awesome pix! I'll have to post up some of mine from the Butterfly pavilion here in Denver soon.

Okay, I looked and I didn't write it down. I wrote down the 2nd monkey which is a 'Blue Monkey' but for some reason didn't write down the 3rd. :(
