Aren't FB's open all around? If your room temp is cool, wouldn't you want to use a rack system that was enclosed...like RBI's?

You cannot use FB racks in rooms that are not heated and humidified. Definitely go with racks made by Boaphile, Animal Plastics, RBI, etc since they are enclosed and will better insulate the tubs.

alright guys i didn't come here for a lecture i am sure about this i have looked into a humidifier and to get a heater for the room i was just asking if maybe the 11 inch would help anyway i still need to know if they come with tubs again this isn't new to me i do research

I don't see anywhere where that was a lecture.. I was just stating that No, you cannot use them in non-heated, non-humidified rooms.

I believe they do come with tubs, but it would be best to ask FB that question. Backheat isn't very efficient and belly heat would be best. I'm sure they could put belly heat on for you, since I've seen some of the FBs do have 3-4" flexwatt as belly heat.

Have fun heating the room to 80 :) (wouldn't be hard here, just open the window)

You're 16 but getting 'back into' BP's??

One call to FB could answer all your product questions. Lindy is a very nice guy and is more than happy to chat usually.

If you've ever looked at a FB rack, you would know that a level top is just a wire mesh, making it almost impossible to maintain any heat or humidity. Leading us to point out that you need to have a climate controlled room to properly use the FB racks.

Otherwise an enclosed rack like RBI is a great choice when you don't have a room to spare.

About 3 years. Thanks for the answer and your looking out for me and the snakes i under stand, but as you said if i open the window the room will get up.I live in California it gets around 100+ here.I have solutions for the rack too what would you tell some one with an aquarium? Cover the top. if misting doesn't work i will through a ply wood or actually a better insulating type of board on the back of it and cover the screening a bit. Also i believe that there rack are heated with a heat panel on the bottom (belly heat) and it could be the 3 or 11" one i would rather have too much then too little heat also a hot room could probably be humidified by adding a tub of water in there i will mist if that's what it takes.Believe me before i make a choice i do research and i will be testing temps with thermos and an infrared for floor heat and ceiling heat i will add a tub of water and see what the humidity reads i will be buying the racks within this month or the next i just think 500+the cost of tubs is ridiculous for a 10 tub rack system when i could buy a couple sets of fb's CB-70's to fit my needs

Well dude, if you're in the 559 (as I am), then it's not quite so easy as 'I live in Cali'. I have FB racks and they are not easy to keep warm in the winter. Humidity is always a problem. As to calling up FB, since they are just up the road in Turlock, it shouldn't be too hard to get ahold of them. As to cost, since the last time I checked, CB70's were in the 1k range for a 10 tub rack system, I don't see how you're doing the math on that one.

    Good luck with your project.

You had the questions, people answered them, you get defensive when you don't read what you want to see...

Alright i guess you don't read.Did i say i had 1k to spend no! i said i was gonna buy levels that are only 95$ a piece age doesn't matter here i have been with reptiles since i was 10 mostly iguanas with my pops then over to balls at the age of 11 as for you guys that have been in it for longer good for you but knowledge needs is learned from mistakes just as you did back then and as for me getting defensive because i don't read what i want?No i simply asked if they came with tubs and if the 11 inch was possibly able to come with it because his site doesn't load good for me then i am told that there not good for a non controlled environment but all i said is that the temps where in the high 70's i stated i will add a heater and humidifier also spray if i need to but still am told other wise i have temp probes in my rep room right now and they are stable at 82.3*F humidity is at 45 in the boas cages now i got defensive when a person from my same area assumes that because they live where i do that it won't work out for me apparently i am willing to go to more extended lengths than he/she is i don't care if you are more experienced than i you don't have the right things to replicate my exact area or temps excuse me in the beginning about saying there low as i didn't have them tested then i admitted that i understand they were looking out for me but with a controlled room as they said it is possible to maintain i still got these exact words!

Well dude, if you're in the 559 (as I am), then it's not quite so easy as 'I live in Cali'. I have FB racks and they are not easy to keep warm in the winter.

They think because they live in the same city that it can't be done i admit it gets freezing here but i don't think we got anything less than 30*'s F this year look at a lot of people who live where snow falls ( we haven't had snow for a long time) and they still own bp's fb racks also as before i said i don't won't to pay 500 + why would i spend 1k as royal said and get the rack advised against i would buy a enclosed rack if things weren't so ridiculously over priced i mean 500 for a rack plus tubs why when fb's are good looking and some good breeders use them there close to me and aren't to costly if i buy them in levels i am sure now i am done with this. also i got mad when i was laughed at for getting back into bps why is that how is that funny because i think boas are better but am kinda back into the bp game that's funny you guys are great :gj:

Please i realise that it is hard to understand how a person is talking on the Internet so reread first before you write :colbert:

anyway no approval is needed from you guys i just simply asked 2 questions and was told something that had nothing to do with tubs until the 5th also i said my room is 82 i understand that bps need 78-83 cool and 88-93 hot this isn't enough i have great mice rats i love and care have time to invest and am still shot down the world is full of people doing dumb things like fighting over a rack on the Internet :weirdface i figure that everything has a flaw but as long as a good person with correct knowledge is there to help then all can go well i said that i do my research i wasn't just gonna buy the rack without talking to people testing temps and humidity and having back up plans but you didn't bother to get the hole story instead said nope that rack is no good for you buy this one its better for you if any one would have said yeah they do i own one i could have spoke to you and then this would have never happened.THANKS!!!!
