For now I'm content with the 2 that I already have. 2 is a lot of work (plus all our other critters). I will admit I would love to have a pied, but am in no hurry to add any more.

Next step it taking off the last glove - my dumbos feather!

GOOD for you!!! Baby steps still take you from point A to point B! :D It is such a wonderful thing when we can redefine the boundaries of our "comfort levels" in order to further gain an appreciation for other living creatures.

I must admit - I had considered wearing a glove to handle my angry albino kingsnake, I am sure it won't hurt if I get bit but hes just so nippy lol. Good for you!!

Good for you!!! It may not seem like a big deal to some, but I can not begin to tell you how working through my fear of snakes has changed my life. Learning all about these amazing animals and gaining their trust is one of the coolest things I have ever done. Welcome aboard!!!!

Very nice to see your getting over the fear but trust me getting bit doesnt really hurt, well not as bad as a rat thats for sure im pretty sure other people would agree, but happy to see you getting over the fear now only one more glove to go then im sure you will putting them around your neck and wearing them around the house haha. :gj::gj::rolleye2::banana:

Lena I see you're a fellow gym rat so I know you don't mind a little pain. Trust me that little gal would hurt less than cat scratch or bite. There is nothing like getting risky and taking off that last glove, it's like a roller coaster ride, you never know what will happen next until you learn how to read their motions and even then you never know. You'll get there in time, just take your time.

Ever since I got the snakes, I've been slacking on the gym. Shame on me. Not sure which I love more its a toss up - the gym or the snakes! They ate last night, so I have no excuse not to get to the gym for at least the nest 2 days anyway.

My male actually struck at me yesterday, but his mouth was shut. I thought that was kinda weird. Scared me more than anything. Happened SO FAST!

Anyway, thanks for the compliment on the tats. :D

Hi,

Click on the image then look at the top right hand corner and you should see the words image tools - click on the little arrow next to that and it should open up a little drop down menu with "delete this image" at the bottom just above the button you press to do the selected option (it's marked "perform action"). Does that make sense?

:8: Last night I was definitely in NO condition to hold anything, I could barely hold myself. Good times :D I actually took a couple shots before I held them the 1st time. I'm way less nervous around them now and no longer use the gloves - they have been retired :D

Congrats! I know howhard it can be for people to get over their fears- my aunt will NEVER get over her's of snakes, bu she's not as bad. When I first got them she wouldent even come in the ouse, where as now she'll even come into the the same room as them and once she even took a glimpse!! But only for a second, through the glass before she freaked out. lol.

Congrats Lena. It looks like you're making very good progress. Are you feeling more relaxed with handling?

I never want to put the baby girl down! Love her! The male on the other hand well he's a little nippy (he's in the top pic) and I don't like handling him. I do just for short periods of time - he ends up striking at me every time. I think that's his personality and I just have to accept it. Still working on him. :D

My mom is that way - she won't come to the side of the house where the snakes are. And if they are out she won't come over. At least now she calls first :rofl:

Lol, one glove, that is pretty funny. I have never used a glove for snakes, but have to admit, I used to for rats. I use a snake hook to get my snakes out of their tubs. Once they are out they usually are much calmer. BTW, nice looking snake you have there. Once you feel more comfortable, lets see some more pics!! :cool:

I used to keep fancy rats as pets for years - never got bit thank god, but I hear those teeth hurt :D

I don't mind the rats now. I am suprised how nice they actually are. Probably becasue I handle them from babies. BTW, Congrats on no longer needing the glove. :cool:
