Tis a normal - but a smokin one at that! The line down the back is beautiful and I believe can be passed down to offspring, but is not characteristic of a morph (someone correct me if I am wrong please)

Only the best kind of morph: the original. :D

    My fave.

And I love the striping. I also think it can be passed down to offspring. If you ever get into breeding, try to find a mate with similar markings. I believe the trait is called "genetic striped". One of my faves. :gj:

    No!! You know that.... *sigh*
However, your new guy looks little and so should be okay in the 10g for a while. You'll need another set up when he grows out of it though: t'stat, hides, flex watt or UTH, water bowl; the works!

There has been several lengthy debates on this issue, so it is up to you if you choose to follow the trusted method of separate housing, or house them together and risk the dangers of multiple housing, especially since you are still learning.

IMO - NO you should NOT house them together.

Even a male and a female need separate enclosures. Why? So that you know who has poo'd. So that there are no dominance issues. So that there are no illness issues. It just keeps things much simpler for the novice keeper and the skilled keeper as well. :)

And it is more fun having several tanks/unique set-ups!
