I Got My Mojo Working.
I bought a Male Mojave in the summer of 2004. I purchased him right before MKR dropped the bottom out on Mojave’s so I paid way too much for him. To make things worse He has never produced any offspring for me even though he has been a breeding machine. I was finally beginning to think that he was sterile or something. The fact that he is incredible looking only made it harder to take. Well two months ago I finally got a clutch of seven eggs from a Female I had only bred one time (very early in the season), to another Male. The Mojave was bred to her all of the rest of the times. The other Male was a Super Pastel so I knew if I didn’t get any Mojave’s they would all be Pastel’s. I was very relieved this weekend when one of the eggs pipped and I could see it wasn’t a Pastel. When I cut the rest of the eggs I was surprised with three very nice Mojo’s. Here is a picture of the clutch after I cut them.

They all came out of their eggs by Sunday and the total was three Female Mojave’s. Oh Yea!
Here are a few pictures of the first one out.

Here are a couple of breeding pictures. As you can see He is a pretty incredible looking Mojave. I am sure you can understand why I really wanted offspring from him.

Well now that I know he can actually reproduce he gets my big Female Pastel this year. I can only imagine how nice the Pastel Mojave’s from that breeding are going to look. Should be fun.:gj:

Re: I Got My Mojo Working.
I think that's my favorite mojo ever. I love all the green on him!
He's even the only one my husband commented on after we went and saw them all (he's not as impressed by all the morphs as I am...yet) We want him! :D

Lauren, Thanks for the compliments on my Male. When I first got him he looked a lot like these babies, maybe a little bit darker. As he grew he developed the very cool green color. I hope the babies will do the same or better. Here is a picture of my Male when I first got him.

Congratulations Albey. That away to hang tough and stick it out until you got him to produce! He is a nice looking Mojave by the way. Your pictures rock as usual!

Re: I Got My Mojo Working.
Congrats Albey. I hate it when those males are just stubborn, and you can't get offspring from them. Your original male is a very stunning representation of a Mojave, and the baby girls are great looking. Are you keeping all of those girls? I only ask, becasue I wouldn't part with a single one.
Congrats Again,

Congrats Again,
Hey Tim,
Well it wasn’t for lack of trying. LOL He really is a breeding machine but for some reason none of the Females I have had with him ever took. As far as the three Females go, they are staying right here. I didn’t wait this long to produce some just to sell them.

I understand why you want to keep them all.
On a side note, I have a Pastel YB that bred great last year, but no offspring. This year, he got 4 females, bred like a champ, and still nothing. One female MIGHT go, but it is definitely frustrating. I feel your pain.
All we can do is keep trying, and it looks like your persistence finally won out.

It's amazing to see them in the eggs, & out of the eggs.

Man Albey - now you've got me itching to breed my mojo! I think the first girl is my favorite! :D

Man I tell you, with the luck I was having with him you must have been reading my mail. LOL Good luck with the one Female. Pastel Yellow Belly to anything is going to be kick ass.

Thanks Robin. With the excitement of producing your first clutch ever you still had the time to wish me props. That means a lot. By the way, she is definitely my favorite. She is the one in the egg picture with her nose sticking up in the air and was the first one out. She got PERSONALITY!!!!!

I know - I saw that pattern in the egg and new instantly she was the same one! You SURE you don't want to let any go? ;) ;) ;) (nudge, nudge, nudge) LOL
I swear I'm going to make it out to see your collection one day - I keep saying that I am, but I really want to when it's not crazy there for you! :)
