Tequila Makes A Friend

My dearest friend from back home in northern Michigan came down for an overnight visit to Toledo this week. She rescues and rehomes green Iguana's but doesn't own any snakes. Sherrie's always been interested in our collection though and was dying to meet Tequila, the new adult female BCI we recently adopted from Jamie Glass.

Miss Tequila was on her very best behaviour. Sherrie said if she'd only had a bigger purse, she'd have snuck out the door with her LOL.

Just to give you a size reference, that couch they are sitting on is 7.5 feet long.

Those are great pictures! You ought to copy that first one and send it to her- the smile is priceless :) And... that is a huge girl!!! No wonder she's got the closet all to herself! :D She looks great~ way to go Jo and Mike!!

Oh she's definitely getting copies. The hilarious thing is we also took pictures on her cell phone. She phoned me yesterday to tell me she showed people the pictures from her phone and one lady took a look and jumped backwards about 2 feet! Like Tequila could somehow get her through a phone LOL! I don't think we are quite technologically advanced enough quite yet to text message a boa to somebody. :rofl:

Does she look okay body wise Jimi? She's our first really bigger boa and I have no point of reference as to her girth to length ratio. I know Jamie mentioned she was very heavy (aka fat) when he first got her so he changed her feeding schedule to get her down to a more healthy weight. We're looking at doing two jumbo rats twice monthly. Does that sound about right? I will get a new scale soon so I can get a true weight on her.

You can't have her Jimi but you're welcome to come scoop out her huge poops anytime! :D

As far as we can figure she was born in 1993 or thereabouts so that puts her at about 15 to 16 years of age. She was about 18 months old when her first owner got her, he had her 11 years, then Jamie had her for almost 3 years before we got her this month.

Can you post more pictures of her, especially so we can see her pretty face and good shots of her girth...=)

She looks gorgeous, but Jimi and other more experienced people here can probably give me better answers to how she looks than.

And here I was thinking Carmen was big...teehee!

I'll try to get some new pics of her later this week. I'd love to know her weight so I guess it's time to get a new digital bathroom scale cuz that big girl doesn't fit on my regular snake scale LOL.

Hehe, yeah we use that method to weigh Lourdes...fun!
