A careless driver recently plowed into my mom's car, completely totaling it. No other reason than "Oops, didn't see her there!" Thank God she made it out with relatively minor injuries & is back on her feet and recovering well. We're so fortunate that things weren't any worse. :please: Ruined cars can be replaced; people are a bit more fragile. It's shocking just how quickly life can change simply because someone else wasn't paying attention.

Don't miss an opportunity to tell your folks you love them!!!

:hug: I'm glad to hear your mom made it out of that okay. And yes, I hug my mum, dad and siblings every chance I get and tell them that I love them all the time. We're from the south--we're huggy, touchy-feely types as it is ;)

Good reminder... actually my mom and I said the L word today, and we don't usually! I'm so glad your mom is okay.

Awesome Post K :) I am glad that your Mom is going to be fine. I personally say Love You to my mom, dad (and my husband of course) after every phonecall, and we hug whenever we part ways.

I'm not much of a hugger, but I give my mom at least one every day. lol

Glad your mom is ok. I lost my mom just a couple weeks ago to cancer. I was fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time with her before she died. I was able to tell her that I love her over and over. Its something that I haven't done enough through the years.

Oh Kara that must have been terrifying! I too lost my mom a number of years back to cancer and I long every day to just get one more chance for a hug. Hug those you love, while you can.

I'm so glad your mom is okay Kara! Things really can change suddenly...

Reading this hit really close to home, it's the 9th anniversary of my dad passing away. I was thirteen. He went to his badminton club to play a couple games and suffered a sudden heart attack, he didnt make it to the hospital. I'm still having a tough time and still can't believe he's gone... lately it feels like it just happened yesterday.

Thanks to you all from my entire family for the kind thoughts & words. After seeing her car, we were shocked that anyone could have walked away from it at all, much less with minor injuries. We've been truly blessed that things weren't any worse. I hope and pray that everyone here has a safe & glorious spring, and that you all have the opportunity to spend some time with those who mean the most to you. :)
