    any Motorcycle riders?
well I just bought my first motor cycle and I go to the class to learn how to ride this weekend. I am really excited and just thought I would see if there are any fellow riders? I am going to try to get some pics of my bike today.

funny you should mention, i'm buying my first bike this week if all goes well.. GSX-R 600.
my wife and i figured it'd be a good fit considering i like speed and gas is going to be $5.00 a gallon soon.
what kind of bike did you get?

I'm thinking about buying a rocket this year if funds allow and the old ball 'n' chain allows it. I'm thinkin' some type of Suzuki... not a busa though!

Ive been riding for 20 years, and its funny cause im taking a riders course this weekend. Never got my motorcycle :taz: license so this course will allow me to skip the road test and be licensed plus 10 percent on insurance and 4 points off drivers license.

If I knew how to ride, I would have gotten a motorcycle out this week. My dad has been working with motorcyles for years, but I've never tried to drive one. If I could afford it finanically, I would really consider buying a scooter. I live about 5 miles from work, so it could be pretty economical in terms of gas.

We used to ride - kids put a halt to that, we just all pile in the SUV. Now the bike just sits in the garage collecting dust. We do get out on the quads & snowmobile though. I bought my son & daughter a mini bike last summer and a go-kart the summer before.

I would say they do. I haven't riden a dirt bike in YEARS! I think off road riding is so much more of a rush. Trails, jumps, etc. Ya know?

I don't ride but I know alot of people who do - which means I get to paint them :D I don't do anything "high quality" really, unless its stripes over "real" paint. My custom jobs consist of rattle can jobs for friends and acquaintances. Someday I WILL have a real paint booth... lol

Did this a couple months ago for my bf's little brother... sorry, I'm proud and I like to show off :)

Someday I think it would be fun to learn, but frankly I'm just a little girl and the thought of it kind of scares me, I can't even hold up a dirt bike, lol. I'll stick to the back...

Very smart move taking the class!

I rode my bike to work today for the first time this season. It's so much more fun than driving.

    I ride a 1980 Honda CB750C, that I bought used about 15 years ago.
I'm thinking about buying a new one, but I'm pretty attached to that bike.

    Good luck, and stay alert!

Just found this thread and since I'm new to this forum thought I'd post a pic of my current bike. My wife and I both have been riding for a number of years, nice to see people taking the MSF rider classes, they are worth every minute of your time. :gj:

I have been riding since I was 7 started racing soon after and quit racing and riding in 2002. Now I'm getting the bug again and considering getting another sports bike. I had a Modded R1 and now looking at a few nice GSXR 750's.

    Re: any Motorcycle riders?
Started riding around 8 years old (moto), then got into moto-x racing and hare/hounds etc. When my Dad got a couple of RD350s he asked if I wanted to road race, raced TD, RZ, TZ, Hurricane/CBR, FZ/FZR, Ducati (BoTT - Battle of the Twins) and now AHRMA racing with a few track days thrown in. I can be found with my club, the BIR, or in the canyons on weekends... :)

Yeah, I was going to do that with mine. It must be my old age kicking in, but I cruise now. So that's why the new Dyna, it has a MUCH better ride than the sporty did. I'm even considering trading the sportster in for a Street glide. :gj:

my husband and I each have our own bikes....
    mine is a 1983 Suzuki Temptor gr650
    and his is a 1974 Honda CB750K

they may be older but they are great. i have only been riding by myself for one season (been on the back of one since before i was born)
My husband has been riding for 3 seasons now.

Where we live it is mandatory to have a bike (not realy but close)
just a couple miles from Sturgis, SD home of the rally.

my dad just traded his streed bob for a street glide, hes says its ok but way too slow(and thats after he threw more$$ in the motor). compared to my sporty its super slow, i can outrun most and keep up with most street bikes.

Let's see....Starmom...no. Dirts bikes don't count. Asphalt's for racing - dirt is for planting potatoes. J/K!

Been riding asphalt for over 20 years. First bike was a Kawi 750LTD, new. Then blah, blah, blah. My favorite bike was the '05 750GSXR I let go of last year. I miss it. I'm a sportbike rider at heart. Now have a '08 Yamaha FZ1. Oh well.

The wifey just got somebody to take over payments on her Harley. She decided she'd rather have me up front at the controls so she can sit back and watch the scenery fly.
