    Jazz-ophile?
    Anyone into Jazz?

Like Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, etc?

    Pancho Sanchez, etc??

I go to a local Jazz bar every month or so to scope out the new talent... just wanted to know if anyone else enjoyed it as much as I do

I enjoy Jazz. I used to go to a coffee shop at NIU and listen to the NIU Jazz Band (well known) on Weds night.

Hmm.... I guess the type of jazz I like is different than what you like. I like the soft bass, soft drum (that weird looking thing that makes it sound soft)a good piano, and a goooood trumpet player.

Look towards Yoko kanno ( cowboy bebop) for getting me into jazz.

Ella, Louie, Sinatra, Ms. Holiday... They're all great! Jazz is my favorite genre of music to sing most of the time :) Occasionally I get an a mood to belt out something different and I might do Evanescence or something like that...but Jazz as a general rule suits my voice the best.

Love, love, love Jazz! I got Loe and the Nastys' album off of iTunes--and they're a pretty good modern jazzy band. :) Jazz meets Katamari Damaci.

EDIT: Found this--it's one of my current favorite songs.

Jazzfest here in N.O. is just starting. We might make a go at it.

I prefer Blues over Jazz but both are wonderful music to sit and listen too while kicking back a few drinks in a bar room.
