I love when they lunge toward the glass in one last failing attempt to murder you in cold blood! haha

I love how whoever wrote the article made it dramatic and suspenseful "The jaws met only glass." hahaha classic  Pretty cool that she didn't want the snake injured though... Kudos to you lady :gj:

OK so how stupid is the pet store that they dont:

    1. have a rule mandating that someone (that knows what they are doing) spot the employee while handling a 12 foot snake

    2. have a bottle of alcohol handy in case something like this happens.

aren't these pretty basic husbandry rules for large snakes

hey everyone glad you think this is a joke like i do, i mean how stupid but yes the chick is cool for not wanting to hurt the snake it makes the cop sound like a hero for doing what some people do everyday (deal with angree snakes) and make it sound like the cop could of died i bet that snake is underfeed and is put in some horrible conditions and smelled rats or something on her hand sorry for the rant but this kinda stuff is stupid and makes us snake owners sound like crazy people, andrew :sabduel:

Yeah...first popped up here locally as shared by members of our local herp society. When it was discussed in our OHS group, the fact she did it alone sure did come up. As well as the fact that now there will ppl who don't know any better, and will panic about the deadliness of a large snake.

    Geez!!

Sad part? The snake lost some teeth...I'm hoping it's mouth doesn't become infected.

My favorite part is where they tell you the snake is being kept above head level... Probably not a smart idea to put a 12ft 100lb snake in an enclosure where it needs to be lifted above your head!

Well, at least this lady convinced the man not to hurt the snake. It's terrible when animals are punished for human ignorance:mad:

I'm glad she pleaded with the officer not to hurt the snake, but I'm not convinced it was entirely "good will" on her part. Her butt would've been fired, I think! Is she an employee or the owner of the pet shop? I hope it's not the latter.

And, yeah, why is the enclosure so high up? Strange!
