When bad things go wrong, some still care- Justin Kobylka
Well, how can I start this!

Late last year I met a great breeder and a true friend name Justin Kobylka of J.Kobylka Reptiles.
We started talking and became friends fast, Justin is a great person with a lot of heart and loves what he does and has great looking pythons. So after a few weeks to a mouth we did a trade and cash for a male clown and 0.2 Het females. They all were beautiful and the het's even looked so good. But my male Clown was the best. Justin was alway there and helped with whatever I wanted or just talk snakes and family, he had my back from the day we talked, we clicked.
Months passed and my clown group were getting size to them looking beautiful, my clown male was now 450+ and the female hets were over 600+ grams, everything was going great.
    Then something went wrong.:tears:
My male clown got very sick and was showing signs of respiratory infection. I called Justin and he backed me up and helped me every step of the way. I took the snake real fast to the vet and they looked him over and gave him a shot and sent me home with some meds and I had to wait till the vet got back to me to let me know what he had, but it was sure signs of the UR. The vet seen the clown ball and he loved it and said he had some nice weight to him and some poop inside of him, he said he was beautiful and that snakes that came in with UR looked some times real bad but my boy was good, so I figured he would pull out of this. So I did all I was told to do, clean the bin everyday and changed the water twice a day, he was staying strong and fighting back but then on top of the UR he also got a mouth infection. The mouse he ate last before the UR must of bit him inside the mouth that started a UR and the MI. So back to the vet I went to get some cream for the mouth infection, So everyday I did the same and clean his cage and would clean his mouth up twice a day and shots every 3 day, I was stressing out. He lasted for a month before the ball gods took him from me at 550 grams and still from the day I took him and the vet said he had some poop inside of him, he never pooped.:tears:
I was crushed and Justin was with me still all the way till the end. I really was in love with this snake, I always wanted a Clown but never had the cash until I started breeding last year and had some good snakes now on my side to trade.
I had plans for him but now they are on hold.
After the snake passed away last week Justin told me on the phone, Charlie don't worry, things happen but we will get over and learn from it all. He then said I wish I had a clown but I have a 07 Het male with your name on it, if you want it.:O
    I was like what Justin??:O
He said he feels what I'm going through and he wants me to make clowns someday and he wants to see my plans come true, so Justin packed up the het male free of charge shipping and all and sent it to me.
Through everything Justin was there helping me out and I knew I had a friend for life.
I've been collecting and breeding all kinds of reptiles for 19 years now, but I did it for fun.
I'm happy to see that there are still great people in this hobby like Justin.
When I was up set that I lost my clown, Justin made things clear to me and I just wanted to say thanks Justin my brother for being down to earth you are a true friend.

    R.I.P. Clown boy-

Now to get clowns the het way.:please:

    All because of a mouse!!:mouse2:

Dude, thanks for the kind words but really the pleasure of working with you on getting your clown project started has been all mine!

It was so hard for me to hear about your boy getting sick and passing on, but I knew all along that it is one of those freak things that happen and you cared for him well beyond the ideal requirements.

I hope that the het clowns produce some awesome clowns for you and I know Karma will come back around. :)

You know we'll be talking all along the way... :salute::salute:

When you read so many bad things about certain people that call themselves breeders or you bog down in yet another "I got ripped off" thread over at the BOI...it's a wonderful thing to read this sort of thread and remember there are good, decent people around. Justin, you stand with that number. I've always heard great things about you so this comes as no shock to me that you're exactly the kind of standup guy I always heard you were. It says a lot about you and about Dave, whose so appreciative of your friendship and support. I think the very best business deals end up with an abiding friendship, even if it's partially forged in this kind of distressing situation.

waltah!:Thanks!! I am happy there are people like Justin, makes me like the hobby till this day even if there are more bad peeps then good.

Drew420: I'm not the best with words, so I did the best I could to make this right and it's from the heart.

    Deborah: I'm with you 100%!

frankykeno: I know what you mean!
Thats why I had to post this. A lot of breeders don't stand by there customers and are all out for the money, it's rare when you find someone with a heart.
I know things happen and I have to take it like it comes and just try to do better next time and stay strong in this hobby, it's fun and I get to meet good people like Justin.

I fed the new Het clown boy two med mice and he ate them up like nothing, great feeder, so lets pray they all keep being little pig eatters so they can get some size by the end of the year.

While this testimony to Justin's character and friendship come as no surprise to me, it's so wonderful to see a good friend recognized for being a genuine person. I've known Justin for two years now, I am blessed to have one of his het clown males in my collection as well, and breeding this year to produce some possible het clown females (fingers crossed).

I'm very proud to also count Justin and his beautiful wife Joy as friends of mine! And it's nice he's "local" enough to be able to sometimes actually visit in person and pick his brain!

Thanks for sharing with us, I'm so sorry for your loss, but I'm thrilled to see that your dreams are still within reach!

That's like the saddest snake story I've ever heard.

Sorry for your loss, and of all snakes it had to be an awesome looking snake and one you loved.

    Charlie,
I hate to hear of your loss. I know it must have been hard. It is great to hear the good stories out there, because I don't think enough good is shared, only the bad things ever come to light. I hope you hatch the nicest Clown ever seen by the BP world next year, and a big round of applause to Justin for keeping customer satisfaction in the front of his business. Customer service is one of the things I have been missing the most in this industry as of late.

Great story, now thats what I like to hear:)

I have lost a snake despite all my best efforts and it is really tough, I am so sorry, he was such a handsome boy.

Although I met Justin in Daytona I never had the pleasure of adding one of his snakes to my collection. I have heard nothing but excellent things about Justin and wouldn't hesitate to do business with him.

Tim hit the nail on the head. I have my own business(not breeding snakes) and it always amazes me what a lack of customer service some people provide nowadays.

    Kudos Justin:gj:

I also have my own business, and it really doesn't take much to treat people with quality customer service. It amazes me how often this very important factor is forgotten by so many business.

So thumbs up to Justin for treating people like people, and not like a statistic!

    muddoc: Hey Tim, Thanks bud!
I know this type of things happen and I must over come it, thats why I posted this thread. I wanted to let people know not to give up and keep doing what they love, stay strong things will happen. I also wanted to do this since Justin wanted no money for the free Het, so it was my way of giving a great guy some love, I did this because I think it was right to do.

    West Coast Jungle: Thanks!!:salute:
I been collecting reptiles for a long time and I have seen a lot of bad people, so I wanted to show that good people are still in this hobby.
