I need a name???

This is my new Mandarin Rat Snake... Isn't he beautiful? But he's a lil sad he doesn't have a name yet... Can you help us out on nameing this guy... He will have a girlfriend soon... so we are going to need two names soon... any thoughts?

Thanks, Ive wanted one for years it has turned out to be a very good temperment lil snake...
These snakes come from china and the name "Mandarin" comes from the Mandarin people who hold the highest rank in the chinese culture... So his name has to be powerful and mighty... And im having a hard time coming up with something deserving enough for him.

First thing that came to my head when I saw the picture:

No idea why. He's a BEAUT! Good luck naming him.

Why don't you simply use the Mandarin word for "strong" as his name?

It would be "qiang". Though, if you're speaking specifically about a person or a place, whatever, you'd have to add an extra word denoting which you're speaking of. But just to say "strong" it's basically "qiang".


It's also used for the word "mighty". ;)

That is one different-looking snake! Unfortunately, I can never think of good names for male snakes (for me females are much more easier to name; I'm not sure why, must be the woman's touch:rofl:). Try to go for something mystical (like my snakes' names).

Now that is a beautiful and interesting snake! My boyfriend said he thought of Egypt when he saw him.

For some reason, I've lost the old touch I used to have with naming things, but he certainly looks like he deserves something mystical.
