Plants for cage

Ok so today i went to a craft store and bought some plastic plants to spruce up thors cage they are plastic with nothing he can hurt himself on. I just want to make sure it not bad because the ones at the pet store are freakin expensive and i am poor. so amaze me with your great knowledge:bow::bow::bow::bow::bow::bow:

I don't have much knowledge to amaze with, but as long as there are no sharp edges then I think you're good to go!
Wash them real well before putting them in, and be sure to wash them regularly because they will get peed/pooped on.

I use them and they're great. I get them at Wal-Mart and craft stores. They are also good for adding humidity - lots of surface area to mist :)

I love dollar store fake plants! Even if I don't need anymore I see it and can't help buy more...A dollar a piece! It doesn't get much better. I just wash mine in bio-sanitizer and rinse well:)

awww crap i went to chop some of the stem off at the bottom but there is some metal wires in it ill have to hack saw it off and glue gun the edges.

Awe that sux, I havent cut any on the plants I bought, well any inside the tank. I have a lot of the plants outside my tank and behind it, and you can't really tell which ones are in and which are out:)

and here I thought I was the only one around here with a decorated cage... :P

You guys gotta post pictures so I can get ideas!!! :D

ya i will =] one of the cooler ideas i've seen is my friend had a cow skull in his cage for a hide it looks really cool

Wow, I love all the plants you have on the outside of the cage too! And the way the "vines" hang all over the back wall. I miss having my girl in a tank, but things are much easier for me now that she's in a tub. I still decorate it though!

When my black milk is large enough, I'll be moving him into a display tank of some sort and then I'll really be able to go nuts. But for now he's also in a tub. I don't want any escapes. :)

The ones I initially used had very sharp metal poking out in places. What i did was get a snippers, peel back the plastic, cut the metal as deep as possible then let the plastic move back in to place. The problem was that it could still be opened up and metal exposed if pushed on, so I used a lighter to melt the plastic back together...and poof, no probs!

just so you know the temps are only that low cuz i had the lid off and window open. and there is two hides in the BP tank one is just hidden behind the tree =]

love the dessert theme on the RTB cage. :D

I also liked that you put the "better" hide inside the half-log hide. :P Clever. Very clever.

lol thanks i think the zilla hides are ugly but the snakes feel really secure in them.
but the Bp is more interested in romping through his plants at the moment
