just remember genetics... Black pastels are known for their jet black backround which was passed to the black platty... a cinny would give it a light brown color. i like the color on the black pastel for this cross more BUT the one with the cinny hasnt been made yet but will more than likely be made this year.

If you shop around you can find some KILLER black pastels. Ian G's line is the best hands down, no contest.

They make some of the best combo's and out of the various lines of blacks and cinnies his line has the least "train wrecks", as far as facial, and kinking problems on the supers. Plus the black platinum that Sharp has is killer, not to mention the silver streak, and my personal favorite morph, ghost black pastel. (I saw 2 of them at Ian's place and they were hands down the best looking morph I have seen!

Go with what you like, but if looking for a black, its worth the wait to hold out for something out of Ian's line, they are smoking!!

No he has everything else left also, the update means he has sold all but 6 of the female pastels. I talked to him recently and he has the rest of the snakes left.

If you have to choose one, go with the Black. I believe Ian G. has the best line. I do really like the Satins that Tracy produced last year -- different -- but really nice!.

I'm going for a second cousin to the Black Platinum. I am covering two Cinny's and one Black Pastel with my Butter. My Butter is very yellow and light, so I am hoping for red rather than brown for contrast color as a back-drop for any pattern that will show up. Pattern and color should be somewhat different considering I am using two different animals than Brian used. Congrats to Brian!! Black Platty is SWEET!

Many of my projects this year(thinking long term) involve animals with opposite super forms. Black/White -- makes codom combos done the road interesting I think. Good luck with your search.

I have never seen any other line of black pastel come close to a nice Ian G line!

Plus they have better less problematic genetics than the other lines too!!

Hey, I am putting a deposit on one of the females in the link from aaramire(Sp) The reason he is selling them is because he is building a 8000sq rodent building! Thats huge! I'll be talking to him again later tonight.

LOL... no, I was just having fun with Nick's post. Honestly, do a search on Cinnies and Black Pastels. You'll find a wide variety of great looking snakes and ugly ones in spite of their label. Just like other pastels... buy the snake not the name.

I got a black pastel female from Josh @ JnJ Reptiles and it's one of the best I've seen. I think he told me it was Ian G lineage. It's really black and the gold really stands out. I'll post some pics tonight.

I would think twice before investing in a Black Pastel. The Pewter’s are nowhere near as nice looking (unless you think the color of black and brown mud is appealing). If you want your Cinnamon’s to look like this, your Pewter’s to look like this, and your Silver Bullet’s to look like this you will need a Graziani line Cinnamon. Notice the Silver Bullet has no amount what so ever of nose problem or kink. Try getting that with a Black Pastel.
