Anybody play Guitar Hero?

I just started a couple days ago on my boyfriend's Wii and it's addictive! I'm surprised I like it so much since I am a miserable failure at DDR. :rolleyes: I'm pretty far into Medium, but has anybody done hard/expert mode, and how the heck are you supposed to reach the orange button? Lol.

Anybody else played this?

I play it on the 360. I can easily play Hard but have trouble on some Expert songs :)

I play on x box and I beat all the songs on medium with 5 stars and I'm most of the way through hard and I can beat a few songs on expert. I think 3.

My friends and I play, and I bought 1 and 2 for my brother this past Christmas. I play when ever I can :P I haven't been able to play much this year b/c my classes have been crazy busy, but when I do play, I can play medium pretty easily and was working my way through hard when I was at home last. I eventually had to just start leaving my hand on the lower four, b/c it's easier to move your pointer finger than it is your pinky. Works for me at least...once you start remembering when your hand is ^_^

I love Guitar Hero, but I have to say, Rock Band owned my face.....I wasn't cut out to be a drummer :P

The trick is to shift you hand up and down as necessary. We've got three of the guitar hero games (80's, 2 & 3) and rock band (drums are more fun than guitars), and I'm pretty much tied with my 8 year old halfway through expert right now.

I can 5 star almost every song on Hard and I can do the same on most Expert songs(37 of 42).

Man, I love GHero! Sadly we sold our Playstation2, but we will be getting a PS3 in the near future. Guitar Hero brings back awesome memories of sitting up all night with my man and his cousins during hunting season; no one was sober, but it seems to make some people do better! (not me..)

I am pulling this thread back up. Just last week dropped the big one and got a playstation 3 and guitar hero 3. Beat the game on easy, medium, and I have 3 songs left on hard and I think ive gotten through about 15 on expert. What the heck with through the fire and flames though. I mean honestly I could never do that on expert.

I'm almost sad to say im a guitar hero. Hyperspeed expert no problem.

Can you do Through The Fire and Flames on expert?

I only play on expert and I can play Through the Fire and Flames but I can only 4 star it. :(

I can do 5 star on expert in about all the song but through fire and flame i can only pass it on hard with 90% (highest % i've gotten so far). it drives me crazy... there's got to be a trick to the first part of dragonforce song on expert (i'm still working on it). got 2 cousins addicted and a couple of friends on GH lol

I just got GH last week...it is a very addicting game. I don’t even play COD 4 anymore whenever I play my 360 I am playing GH

Blasphemy. COD is awesome. Bioshock is awesome. Army of Two is awesome... don't waste your time just on GH! :)

I just got back into GH 2 after taking a long break. Beat the Hard tour and 5 stared all the songs on Medium. Even have a couple of gold stars on Medium. Expert is going to be a pain. I'm also stuck on some songs on Rockband on drums. Mainly Boston's Foreplay/Long Time on Hard, after I beat that song, I am finished with the hard drums. Rockband is way easier to play guitars on, IMO.

I've played gh2 and 3 and I've gotten through Hard in both. Expert just makes me angry :)

We recently got a Wii and my wife is addicted to guitar hero.

I beat Tom Morello in Medium.

I have played guitar and bass for almost 30 years and I definately had to retrain myself to play guitar heroes.

See, I've played drums and guitar for about 6-7 years now and Guitar Hero made no sense to me at first. Hitting notes where notes weren't like the first little riff in Slayer is just alot of fast down picking and they have it as runs but Guitar Hero did actually help me say... make my pinky a little more limber which helps when Solo'ing Pantera or something where you need a little reach.

A lot of my friends who have been musicians for years couldn't stand guitar hero. They just couldn't separate the music from what the game required which is just timing and button mashing. Needless to say I found it enjoyable when I was on hard and they couldn't get through medium :)

I love GH but I'm not very good. I'm happy with my 5 stars on easy but I can't even get one star on Raining Blood. Then again, I'm some ones grandma.

I just pre-ordered Aerosmith GH and Rock Band for the Wii. They are suppose to release them at the end of June. Can't wait!!!!!

I love GH! Unfortunately we sold our Ps2.. wanna get a Ps3 soon but of course there are a million other $$-needing things.. They should somehow make GH for the PSP!

yeah you are right
I have not played Army of Two yet but Bioshock and COD are some of the top games out for 360

Oh man u guys read the new game informer about GH4? its supposed to have the drums bass and mic just like rockband but its all gonna b slightly different. And new features on the guitar im pretty psyched cause i hate the guitar on rockband

Okay, I'll admit it. :D

I am terrible at GH! Timed button pressing has never been my thing. But I really enjoy playing on Easy once in a while. Now the hubby, he rocks! I've seen him jam through Through the Fire and Flames (Go DragonForce!) on Hard and barely miss any notes.
