Great pics!! I love kites. I was never into the stunt kites, but used to LOVE making them when I was in High School.

If you want to get into some REAL kites;) check out kiteboarding, this is me. Looks like your having fun anyway!

I would highly recommend this trainer kite, I had one a few years ago when I was first learning and for the price, they are a blast.

I LOVE that picture with the butterfly kite! It's just beautiful. The turtle kite was pretty cool too. I have a dragon kite, that I have got to get out of the box, one of these days. (maybe I'll take with my to soccer practices in the hopes of a good breeze)

Of course, I have to ask who got to fly the Hello Kitty kite? :giggle:

lol ok So it went like this.. I flew my stunt kite, my friend sarah flew her fish kite, her boy friend flew his turtle kite, my fiance started off flying her HK kite but then wanted to be the first to fly my butterfly kite. So I put the stunt kite away and took over flying HK while she flew the butterfly. I must say, the butterfly kite looks much better in the air than I had anticipated :) Oh and our almost 2 y/o daughters kite lasted like 5 mins LOL and our friends girls had kites too but they lost interest by the time the camera was taken out. I dont know who was flying the triangle-ie lookin kite.

And as for those big foil kites, I have no where around here that has a large enough body of water, not to mention I don't wanna end up like this poor guy... (watch the video, it's ok to laugh because I saw in a longer version that he's fine hehehehe)

Haha! that video is ancient! But it is the only recorded instance where a thermal had that much power. That kite is 12 meters plus, the link I sent you is for a 1.3 meter:) You don't need water for the trainer foils, just a field or a backyard with few trees;) I love the trainer kites, they are so much fun and unless you take them out in really really high winds (which would be silly) you can't get picked up off the ground at all by them. But either way I'm glad your having fun with any type of kite:)

Haha, I have 13 kites ranging from 5 meters to 17 meters but those little stunt kites look like fun, it would be easier to get one of those and let my family members play with those instead of explaining over and over why I won't let them try my bigger kites.

Hmm maybe I will get one then, as my fiance said she'd like to try one, but I told her "you're so tiny you'd end up in NY in a matter of minutes" hahahaha (she's a tiny 4"11) But I guess if they do sell smaller ones, we could look into it.

I still am stuck on the stunt kites though, I think I am going to get the Nexus, its a good beginner kite (or so ive been told and according to what i've read online lol)

The link I sent you for that one on ebay is still considered a "stunt" kite because of its small size. It is also a 2 line, but uses a solid bar instead of two handles as with other stunt kites. If you do look into it, just check out the begginer tips on trainer kites on youtube to be sure your comfortable with it. You can get pulled on your face if you loop it lol, but like I said in minimal wind like 5mph, you'll have a load of fun and shouldn't be able to hurt yourself.
