My duckling!
Well.... I think hes a duck, he might be a goose. Maybe this thread can clear up what he is? Anyways, he is one of the best pets ever! He sleeps on my shoulder when im laying down, always trys to jump up to me when im higher than me, he wouldnt shut up last night untill i turned off the TV:P I love him to death!
Not the best picture, but it was the only one i could take before my cam went dead on me.

Re: My duckling!
LOL, that's a duck if I ever saw one.
Can I ask...
Why do you have a duck? :P

Re: My duckling!
Duck. Where'd you get a duck?

Re: My duckling!
Definitely a little duckling! Used to raise ducks, fancy exotic ones, along with the common, with my mother some time ago. Had the cutest chickens too, but it was the ducks that stood out!
Looks like a Peking duckling, fat white duck, good eating! :P Don't fly real well. They can make excellent pets as well. But that's just a fair guess on my part, been much too long since I heard the little beeps of new ducklings.
If he was artificially incubated, as I imagine he was, he lacks the oil on the feathers needed for swimming, so swim time isn't a real good idea until he feathers out. He could possibly chill, or even drown! Scary thought.
Just for a treat, here's a picture of our Mandarin ducks. I had more duck pictures, but those photo albums mysteriously disappeared. I think me mum made off with them.

Re: My duckling!
My good friend had two pet "house" ducks she raised since they were ducklings.
She housed them in play pens and then dog crates when they got bigger. She would use diapers as well. It was the cutest darn thing, but alas....the neighbors complained.

Re: My duckling!
My sister and I used to have a duck. That silly thing used to follow us everywhere we went. We'd go out to change irrigation pipes and you wouldn't be able to see him because the grass was so tall, but you'd hear this constant "quack quack quack quack quack" right down near your feet. Not sure whatever became of Quack (yes that's what we named him) he just stopped showing up one day.
I'd take another duck in a heartbeat

Re: My duckling!
Awe! Cute. Geese are awesome; my friend has some that will follow you all around.
-
Re: My duckling!
I think the follow you waiting for food! heh. There are Canadian geese everywhere around here and there are signs that say DON'T FEED THE GEESE!! and that is because they won't migrate for the winter if you do....or they'll follow you home...haha
