can you hear her wheezing and popping from a distance or do you put her right up to your ear and hear it? my pastel has this popping noise, but I can only hear it when I put his nose right up to me ear, which he hates. I have heard this for about two months now and it hasnt gotten worse, I am keeping an eye on it. Do you guys think it could be RI? I really hope not. :(

I dont think your over reacting! Popping noise, or any noise for that matter aside from that caused by breathing or a beating heart cant be normal! When in doubt take your animal to the vet, better to be safe than sorry. I do hope you take both your snakes to the vet...

I bought two snakes from a reptile shop that turned out that one snake that I bought has diagnosed RI. The other was suspected could have RI brewing. Right now I'm trying to get the issue resolved with the reptile store. Anyhow, my snake would randomly snap his mouth open, like to unglue his jaw. He was not trying to attack just trying to get some more comfort back. I also noticed where his tongue comes out to taste the air, he had tiny bubbles that would come out. Upon the more observation he would start to weeze and whistle. If you don't have those concerte symptoms your snake may/maynot have RI. From what it sounds like, if yours has RI its not advanced. I would try to make sure that your temps are correct. My Esie that was suspected that had the RI brewing in her lungs (she doesnt have it now if she ever did), I was told my my herp vet that a little bit of exposure to the sun, either early morning when the sun just came out or late evening when the sun isn't beating down, should help clear it up. Dr. said no more than 15-20 mins. So if you have a patio or a pool chair, I would just go and layout for a few mins and listen to some music and have your snake catch some rays. lmao. I definately wish you the best. I'm sure it will be fine. :gallery:

This is why you don't buy from craigslist unless you know what to look for. You could have gotten a Boa from a breeder in perfect health for under $100. Good luck with the vet visit and hopefully she recovers quick.

Bump up her hot spot, make sure it is low stress too. Keep humidity in good levels. Good luck with her.

I think that is a little general, and for the most part untrue. I have gotten numerous reptile off of craigslist, all were in perfect condition. WITHOUT disease or bugs.

thats good! hope she recovers fully
I took my guy outside today, as suggested above, for the first time! he loved it! he crawled around in the grass and stuck his head up like a scope or something, looking all around. he looked like he was having a blast, tongue going a million miles an hour and soaking up the sun!

I look at one of my RTBs the same way.. I had a simmilar experience which is why I had warned you about craigslist in one of your previous posts..

My first RTB was the first and ONLY snake I ever got from someone off craigslist.. She was kept in a glass tank with only an un-controlled heat lamp for basking and no humidity.. She had mites and an RI when I got her. I didn't pay for, but have spent about $270 in vet bills on her in the past 7 months I've had her. It is a lot of money, and I'm going to have to spend more to run some tests because she still isn't better, but I'm glad that I did pick her up because I know that she would be dead now if I hadn't have taken her home.
