WTH does he has!?
OK I have a male BP, he's young, around 4-5 months. His setup was a little too humid, and today, I came to check him (wich I do everyday) and he has some strange fricin bumps near his neck! They only appeared there! Ideas on what could it be and how can I cure him? This is a pair of pics, not really good tho...
BTW there are no snake vets in my country...

Re: WTH does he has!?
hmm..two things come to mind..
Could be a shed.
Could be burns from a heat lamp.

Re: WTH does he has!?
What country do you live in? Looks kinda like a burn to me.

Re: WTH does he has!?
In the second pic his eyes look dull like he is going in to shed. If this is so then the bumps could just be from the shedding.
my 2 cents...

Re: WTH does he has!?
It's not a burn as he has no possible contact qith the lamp, its outside of the enclosure... I live in Costa Rica, Central America, so my local temps and humidity are really close to what they need, just some minor adjustments. Is it normal for BP's to get pellet-like bumps in them while shedding? I own 4 boas and have never seen this ion almost 3 years :S
Thanks a lot for all your help, I hope u guys can figure something out :P

Re: WTH does he has!?
Is he a new snake in your collection? My first thought when I saw the second pic was that maybe they're ticks? But I assume that you've looked at them close enough to tell if those are ticks or not.

Re: WTH does he has!?
no they're not ticks, they're inside the epidermis, like in the dermis area (inside the skin, like between flesh and skin)... Yes he is new, he has beeen here for about 2 months, and hast shed

Is it possible he was a wild caught snake? I am thinking its some blisters under the skin infection.

Re: WTH does he has!?
They look like blisters to me - and having not had any, I'm not sure what to recommend for taking care of them. I'd be going to a vet, but you say you don't have that option.

Re: WTH does he has!?
Are they hard or do they seem to be filled with fluid? I saw something similar once with a snake that had scale rot (it had the scale rot when I obtained it). The bumps were actually filled with a clear fluid. The bumps were drained and cleaned with chlorhexadine/novalsan and then kept dry (if they filled back up they were drained and cleaned again). After about 2 sheds they went away and the scale rot cleared up.

they are hard, IDK if he is WC, it was sold to me by a guy who got it from another guy and he had no idea :S

Re: WTH does he has!?
Best bet is to take him to a vet. There area a few other threads on this forum from snakes with bumps. Some turned out to be absess from parasites much like tape worms, others are still unclear the cause of, but they were filled with pus and needed medical attention.
Take him to a qualified herp vet, and while you are there, might as well get a fecal done too. Best to make sure your new animal is clean.
BTW, the snake with the worms in the skin had clean fecals.

Re: WTH does he has!?
Are their any vets around? I would hope any Vet would be able to identify the bumps in his skin.

Your snake does not have to contact the lamp to be burned by the heat it is emitting. How are you regulating your temperatures? What is your basking temperature? What kind of light bulb are you using?
The more information you give everyone the better they will be able to help you.
Some light bulbs can produce very concentrated areas of heat that can cause localized burns that can look similar to what I see in those pictures. If you are only measuring temperatures outside of that specific area, you may never know the temperatures are getting very high.

Re: WTH does he has!?
my baskin temp inside the tank is 91 always, drops a bit at night to arround 87 tho. the bulb is a 60 watt normal bulb. Took him to a vet and she started screaming and telling me to get the god damned thid out of there :S lol
