Bp tattoo
I've been thinking about a wrap around tattoo on my lower leg for awhile, after seeing Heather's my itch started to come back. I've always wanted a dragon or snake, my decision has been made alot easier with my hobby. So my ?? is what would you get?

Re: Bp tattoo
I'm leaning towards Spider I think the crazy pattern would make the best tat.
-
Re: Bp tattoo
Yeah, i picked spider... color and pattern wise it would be the coolest.
-
Re: Bp tattoo
i think the normal would look the best. It just has so many variations and unique qualities. I'm getting one soon around my arm.

Re: Bp tattoo
I didn't see a bumble bee! :(

You got me on that one.

Re: Bp tattoo
I would NOT recommend getting a tattoo with too much yellow...after a few years they normally look horrible....just thought I'd throw that advice out there.

Re: Bp tattoo
Get an Axanthic Spider :P Just don't copy mine...lol

It is on my leg BTW so it is about 6 inches across

Re: Bp tattoo
I favor our high white pied girl. Here's is what my tat of her looks like.
These pics were taken about an hour after the work was done, still pretty bloody on the left side.

Here's the original image of Artemis and the image that I use in our logo.

The upward angle of the pic distorts her head, in this last pic, but the flash was not playing nice.

Re: Bp tattoo
I'd get a super pastel mojave!! But, heck, my ankles are filled and so are my arms and so is one wrist... maybe wrapping around my forearm? Naw... maybe on my palm....
-
Re: Bp tattoo
I think a Lesser Platinum or Mojave tattoo would look sweet. It would be recognizable as a ball but would have that classy, attractive look that we all know and love. I wouldn't do a spider as a tattoo just because there aren't enough lines for contrast, and it wouldn't stand out as much. Also wouldn't do anything with areas of white (albino and pied). Just my 2 cents.

Re: Bp tattoo
NORMAL!!! :)
Back to the basics.
That's why I did it.
-
Re: Bp tattoo
i would say take pics of your own and then pic the one that looks the best if the tattooer is good then youll have your own snake on your body
-
Re: Bp tattoo
I'd say Mojave or Normal. Would be the best for an artist to work with.
-
Re: Bp tattoo
i would think a normal would look best as a tat.
but like anyone who has tats knows.
only pick something YOU really like. The people that look at it and say "I love it" or "I dont really get it" only have to look at it on occasion. You have to look at it every day for the rest of your life. But enough preaching, this pastor's late for his Liquid Lunch, gotta love working next to a bar!!:8::bow::rolleye2:

Re: Bp tattoo
Enchi or Woma. That way you basically have a normal looking BP with a cleaner more reduced pattern. Maybe thrown in some axanthic since personally I think brown is a useless color in tats.
-
Re: Bp tattoo
If the artist is good it seems like any of them would look nice. Except maybe the albino. Yellow and white don't look so hot on the skin unless there is more to the tattoo-like other colors

I've thought about get a tat of a ball or a boa but then i realized it would cost so much more for that tat then to just buy the next snake I wanted.
-
Re: Bp tattoo
it's a tat, i mean, you can color it blue if you want and nerd/ralph/8ball/bhb, etc. will probably create a morph like that sooner or later.

While this is true, there is a gold color that is just right for a high contrast albino that holds up well.

Re: Bp tattoo
The itch for ink is back - gee thanks! I would love a tat of our girl (normal) wrapped around my waste or across my stomach. Her colors & markings are beautiful - she'd make a GREAT tat. I wonder how many hours that would take.
-
Re: Bp tattoo
wow those tats are amazing!! how did u pick the designs? i know they are mostly based on ur pet..but how else?

Thank You! I have had it for about 2 years now and still find myself staring at it. About time to get another one on my other leg (though I am leaning toward a quarter sleeve so who knows )

Re: Bp tattoo
id say norm. but really, its your tat, you have to deal with it all your life, so choose what you like
-
Re: Bp tattoo
Personally I think that a Spider would lend itself to being tattooed best.
-
Re: Bp tattoo
IMO Spider: The head pattern make it special. :snake:
-
Re: Bp tattoo
I voted Spider... For good reason... :)

Yup, Roussis Reptiles made these beauties in 2006...

Its an all white snake with a spider patterned head. Wouldn't make a great tat, IMHO.. Like someone else said.. too much white.

Emilio, maybe print off some very high quality shots of your favorite morphs and then make an appointment to sit down with the tattoo artist of your choice. In the end, I would think they are the experts and know what works and doesn't work over the long run when it comes to skin art like this.

I definitely agree with this statement. Nobody knows which colors or patterns will transfer over to skin better than a tattoo artist. :sweeet: If I had to pick one though, I would say Spider. I think that pattern would be a cool tattoo.

Re: Bp tattoo
the spider will look very nicee... :)

Re: Bp tattoo
This thread is over a year and a half old and got bumped - I sure hope Emilio made his decision by now. :P

Re: Bp tattoo
Seriously, go to a professional that can DRAW and ink snakes.
Do not pay for anything less.
-
Re: Bp tattoo
Spider or pinstripe. Both look the best in tattoo form I think. Their pattern just lends to a sweet looking tat.
