This is such a small minded, petty thing to say. :( I DARE you to get on a bicycle and train for a 100 mile long ride...then talk about how stupid they look and how they don't obey the rules.

The "uniform" of a cyclist serves very specific purposes. And you can bet they are more aware of the rules of the road and what is going on around them than 95% of the drivers out there. I know PLENTY of drivers who don't stop at stop signs and blow through red lights and speed at 15-20+ mph over the posted limits. Do car-drivers "suck" because some refuse to obey the rules? :irkd:

cyclists are lame, with their outfits strait out of richard simmons closet. They need to stay on the sidewalk.

Most people are terrible at driving. At least around here.

Wow, what a very mature and logical argument. I have now completely changed my mind about cyclists. :evileye:

I thought that was an excellent commercial, and made an excellent point. (not necessarily just about cyclists either) The majority of cyclists are very careful to obey traffic laws, as it keeps them alive. But no matter what group you look into there will always be bad eggs.

I had a professor use this same thing (except it was a guy in a gorilla suit) after we all bombed an exam. He put it on a quiz. We also bombed the quiz. :colbert:

What this is attempting to do is map the attention system of the human by showing that the visual-spatial sketchpad can only attend to a finite amount of information before a backlog of information occurs...in essence, multitasking has built-in limitations.

Some of those outfits are so people dont get hit. Theres alot of stupid drivers out there and Im having to go out and buy a new bike because some jack ass hit mine (while I was on the sidewalk) and bent the frame and both wheels.

You only notice the bad cyclists, you only notice the bad drivers. Human nature. A lot of cyclists are law-abiding, good, even-tempered folks.
    However,
Around here I have tons that ride IN the road, on the local highway, impeding traffic, and they flip you off for going around them. I also have been nearly run over by ignorant college studants flying along the sidewalk(where in many places it's ILLEGIL to ride a bike BTW) at high speeds with THEM flipping me off, I guess because I was so terribly dumb as to walk on a sidewalk.
There's good and bad in every group. I have no issue with cyclists, as long as they follow the road rules, and don't run me over.
