Youtube
Has anyone ever seen this guy on youtube muffdaddy2 ? I mean what a joke, he tells people to feed a ball pythons three times a week and then he turns around and says not to power feed because is bad. Its really laughable and I dont mean his jokes. Its also not cool that he is giving out wrong info to people that might be thinking about getting a reptile of any kind. I am just wondering if anyone else has ever seen him, and what there thoughts are?

Re: Youtube
He is a joke. Im sorry. He has a gravid boa and he suggested he is going to house the babies in a 10gal. what is that? Not prepared and wants to breed boas. I dont mean to be rude or mean, but he has public pet store husbandry. If I was his reptile id be mad to be put back in the same tank like the petco has. Id try to escape or bit everytime id get the chance.

Re: Youtube
Rofl, he is being attacked and getting a lot of weird threats.
He's taking it seriously and responding to them.
imo wasting his time

Re: Youtube
You guys didn't know? He is the "Leader of the Reptile Community".
**edit by dr del** Warning this video contains strong language**end edit**
YouTube - THE REPTILE COMMUNITY part 1
Here is a video of him proclaiming his "Leadership".
He feeds his Savannah Monitors dog food. It's actually rather sad.

Re: Youtube
Homie is hilarious.
I feel sorry for him now. He acts like he's famous. It's just a bunch of little tweens who rally behind him. He's like a cult leader, he's been banned from most herp forum sites. His videos are just sad.(Ones not dealing with reptiles at all and he tries to be funny)

Re: Youtube
i got into it with that retard before, he has no education and is a stupid person. the way him and that other retard in his videos handle these snakes and some poisonous, they are not professional the way they go about them selves. and are taking the threat litterally because he carries his pea shooter wherever he goes and shows it in the video...lol he does think hes something big he put a cooking video of himself...haha listen i dont like that dirty as***** he should be banned from every reptile forum, and organization there is and for god sakes should not let him in a poisonous reptile show he has no idea... what hes doing..

Re: Youtube
I think some of you guys are being too hard on him. I personally do not agree with a lot of what he says. But some of his knowledge is valid. When I watch his videos, I filter out the nonsense that he says, and only take in the valuable stuff as review. He might not be the smartest guy, but his sure got more personal experience with reptiles than a lot of people, or me at least. He tries hard to make his videos as professional, helpful and entertaining as he can.
Plus, I have seen a lot of videos on Youtube about Ball Pythons, other than the mass overflow of really bad feeding videos shot with shaky cameras, most of them are of young kids, with little or no knowledge on Ball Pythons, trying to make care videos, which makes me more sad than angry. What I'm trying to say is, sure muffdaddy2 is not up to our standards here at BP.net, but for Youtube, he's not all that bad.

Re: Youtube
I think the real issue is that he is providing bad information. It does not matter if the bad information is mixed in with the good information. The point is alot of people do not know what is bad information and what is good information. He has 5000+ subscribers which does not include those who watch his videos and don't subscribe. That is alot of eyes and ears taking in every word he says.
You also have to consider who his audience is. It is and will be the new reptile keepers that don't know better and don't know that the information provided is bad. So they take it as good, but not just that some of those people then pass on the bad information as good.
Yes seasoned reptile keepers can watch his videos and see that some information is correct and some is not. But a new keeper can not
So it really does not matter if there is good information in with the bad. It really should not be posted unless all information is correct, especially considering the audience it is targeted at.

Re: Youtube
Just wanted to add something I caught in his ball python video.
He says that the White Feeder Rats and Mice with red eyes(Albinos) are like that because they gradually loose there color from long term captive breeding. What!?!

Re: Youtube
But then again, is there any reptile knowledge on Youtube that makes it to our standards?

He's not all that bad? Are you kidding me?
Maybe if you lived in the same city or county and actually saw the ramifications of his "passion," you'd feel differently. I think Arlington County was going to ban venomous anyway, they just did it faster because he showed up at the hearing and made a bumbling idiot out of himself, as usual.
Then there was the incident when the venomous snakes were discovered in the motel room in Fairfax. The news talked with several herp hobbyists in town, and they said that he was such an idiot that they cut his interview out of the story- the reporters said there was no way they would air that on tv.
The fact that you think he's "not bad" tells me a lot about you. Anyone can repeat a few pieces of care information on camera, but it does not make them knowledgeable.
Oh, and I forgot...how about the fake "rescue" that he and his partner created so that they could get free animals for breeding stock?

I completely agree. He seems like a bumbling idiot to me and from what I've seen of his videos, he should not be allowed to have as many reptiles as he does, and especially not try to pass on his "knowledge" to the inexperienced. He may not be the worst I've seen on youtube, but he's definitely up there.
That's just my opinion though. I'm not trying to offend anyone :)

Ralph davis! Adam Wysocki! Damon Salceies, there are plenty who know what they are talking about on youtube!

alright stop, just stop, stop, ok stop, stop, as your leader i say "stop fighting":gj:
I like that video, thanks for sharing!

Re: Youtube
Looks like his account was suspended. My guess is it had something to do with his "Please click on the ads" graphic in one of the videos I saw. Big adsense/google/youtube no-no.

I've seen Ralph Davis on youtube, but not the other ones, and I'm excited to check them out. thank you
But in the thread about Ralph's "bare-bone setup" ( http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ht=ralph+davis ) he was criticized pretty badly for the setup. But his other videos about morphs and such, are a lot better.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of that guy, He acts kind of cocky, and is not very gentle when handling snakes. I know if I owned a professional Ball Python Breeding business, I wouldn't be posting amateur videos like that on Youtube.

Re: Youtube
I just want to say, when I signed up for this forum (which I love), I read the rules, the very second rule was to keep this "Family Friendly" followed by the third rule "No Hate Speak." Calling names and making put downs just should not take place.
Take the video "Anonymous Vs Muffdaddy2" for instance. The so called Anonymous, who obviously feels strongly against the actions of Muffdaddy2, responded and shared his/her opinion in a mature and acceptable manner.
