My first eggs!

this morning i found two pearly white eggs in a little nest my cresty had dug. i had caught them copulating a week ago so i thought i had more time to provide a nest box but i guess the male must've been an excitable little guy :)
no pics, but i thought i'd share... i'm excited! plus i have one, possibly two gravid carpets.:banana::banana::banana:

Congrats! Did you just put them together a week ago or is that just the first time you actually saw them copulating?

i've always kept them together in a rather large viv... that just happened to be the first time i saw the copulate. last nite i caught them goin' at it again though. i guess i may have to separate them afterall to avoid issues for the female.

Very nice looking eggs! Have you tried to candle them yet?

i haven't... after i took the picture i stuck them in a perlite setup though. my 15 month old son lost my LED pen light awhile ago and i've yet to replace it :)

wow, these hatched out after just 53 days?! pics coming, my home computer is down... cute litter buggers.

Wow, must be pretty warm where you are incubating them? You might try putting your incubator somewhere a little cooler so they incubate a bit longer.

yeah, they were just in my herp room. i had two snakes that came down with RI's post-breeding season though so i had the heat up while they were recouping - i didn't even think about how it'd effect the crested eggs. they look nice and healthy though.
