okay, trying to catch up with the mojos. Sarah got to see some Lucy's today at the convention and fell out. It was sort of weird I guess I was expecting to see more. A lot of the animals that we liked were much more stunning in person though. It was my first one so I did not really know what to expect. I guess some of the senior members here are better to ask. I do want to make pastel pins now though, they are stunning in person. All our pics came out like crap unfortunately. My camera takes horrible low light shots. Maybe I should spend some money on a better camera.

steve.. what did they have the BEL listed at the show? I have an informative speech on BP morphs and because we have the pair of Mojos i was going to talk about them but cant find anywhere (kingsnake.com and various bp websites) what the running cost is of them

i bet they are STUNNING in real life!!! and for the record, ive seen some of your shots, give yourself some credit ;) i love your avatar and the last avatar you had :gj:

thanks for the compliments. the picks that i took at the show were terrible. None of them came out. We only went on Sunday. The only two I saw was one that Bob Clark had and one on the BHB table and the Lucy's were running around $3000-4000 range if I remember right. I hate to sound stupid but what is a "BEL"? I have heard people make reference to them before but I thought they were referring to a vendor not a animal.

In this case, it's Blue Eyed Lucy (since he was referring to the Mojo super). It's also an acronym for Black Eyed Lucy, which is the Fire super.

As for prices, I was seeing the Black Eye variety for anywhere between 6-10k, but didn't see a Blue at the show.

There were a couple of blue eyed lucies at the show. BHB had one (don't remember the genetics, in fact, it may have been an ivory). There was also a mojave lucie, and one labled lesser x ??? (not sure how you wouldn't know the ???? part). The one on Bob Clark's table was a black eyed lucie (super fire) as well as the one on Mike Wilbanks' (Constrictors Unlimited) table. Just to throw in my own personal opinion, Mike's black eyed leucistic is the most beautiful lucie I've seen, gorgeous snake!!!

yea i did not see any BEL's at the show but like I said I was only there on Sunday and I do think that one on the BHB table was an ivory. There may have been two other actual BEL's there but the only other one I remember was on Bob Clarks table like I mentioned in my earlier post. BHB had the best variety in stuff and had all the really shocking animals but for balls it was really hit and miss. Like people would have a couple nice things then just regular stuff. I guess I had seen pictures from before with a lot of wild stuff but seems as though BHB was the only table that had a lot of crazy animals and he had some truly amazing stuff. I was wondering if anyone reading this saw that one cage he had with the price $1000000000000? There was not anything in the clear cage when I walked by I was wondering what was in there?

yea I just got real lucky, again. Rick was there so I talked to him for a bit. He had a bunch of males that were not on his website at the show. In my opinion he probably had the best variety of moderately priced stuff from clowns down to pastels and the nicest looking stuff. I thought I got lucky with the female that I picked up from them over the net but I really liked this male and really to be honest went looking for one that day. I did not think I would find anything that I liked enough to buy but I thought my chances would go way up having all the folks there and I ended up buying from Rustys Balls even after looking at everything else. Rick is a great guy and they had the only table that we went to that even engaged us when we looked at there stuff.

there was a name on the cage but it was something weird that I had never heard of before and with all the other crazy stuff he had who knows what it may have looked like.

    Steve

Met a guy in the show at Denver that swears he had a lucy (I saw the lucy) that was made from a lesser bred to a wild caught abberant abberant. He said he thought it was something like a het russo. And know that guy said he was planning on being at the NARBC show would guess it is probably the same guy.
