though shes not part of the site she lurks around so i hope she sees this. after the sad loss of my pastel who didnt eat for when he finally ate for me he was gaining weight and healthy sadly passed away this passed week and i think it had to do with the kink that it was born with. well there was a reptile show today in hamburg,pa and my friend jenn and i were supposed to go well i couldnt cuz of work wanting me to come in early and then called me to tell me never mind. well she stopped at my house to drop me off a surprise and here he is

me too well i figure with my tax return check i might look for a 100% het hypo female to breed to him and then find a het pied to breed to him to try and just prove to see if he has the genes before i got for the big shabang

edit: hes got alot of "markers" and white spot though his patterning when i can get better pics i will show them

i heard it was way crowded i unfortunatly didnt get to go. but i deff enjoyed my present hes a looker too im gonna be getting pics up really soon prolly later later tonite or early tomorrow see keep an eye on this thread

from all the hypo hets ive seen the flames have alot of white in instead of the normal brown tones

i will also maybe this way also cuz im gonna take as detailed pics as i can also maybe see if someone can spot to see if it has the pied markers at all ive seen one het pied in my life and the tail region had a tannish orange tint to it. i cant wait to just be able to prove him out

OK, please don't take this wrong, but here's some advice. You currently have a 100% Het Albino male. Your new snake is a possible Het Hypo and even less possible Het pied. Say you buy a Het Hypo female like you mentioned, take the time to raise her up, then breed your possible Het Hypo to her resulting in all normal looking snakes. You have no way of knowing if you just missed on the Het X Het odds or if your boy simply isn't Het for Hypo. Now you have to hold back all the females, raise them up and breed them back to the male to try and prove him out. Meanwhile if he is a normal you are going to wind up with even more possible Hets with no way of knowing whats Het and what isn't. In the end you could wind up with 2 or 3 racks full of possible Hets pulling your hair out.
What would probably be a better idea is to build on the fact that you have a 100% Het Albino male, invest in a 100% Het Albino female instead of the 100% Het Hypo female you mentioned. Raise her up to breed to the Het Albino male, hope to get an albino or three out of that pair then trade, or sell an Albino and buy a visual Hypo girl if you are still intent on proving out your possible Het. Hypo male. At least then you would be sure that the offspring would at a minimum be all 100% Het hypos. That at least lessens the pain and frustration if your boy proves to be just a normal. ;) If I lost you at all in my ramblings let me know and I'll try and clear it up for you. :)

LOL, John now you're just trying to push my buttons. You know as well as I do that "Het Markers" are in no way 100% accurate. I have several Het Albinos that have "Het Pied Markers" that I know damn well have no pied in them.... :fishslap:

i didnt say i knew all the markers i just said i know from what ive seen and what breeders at the reptile shows have told me to look for. and you know what so what if i hit or miss with the het hypo het pied im all about the project and the animals i dont care if i don't get any visuals its all about the experience. i'm not going to go into a buisness for the money im doing it for the joy and pleasure of working with an animal i have been in love with since i was 8 and finally over the past 3 years cracked my mom of her fear of snakes. i'm not sayin im an expert never once did. and about the het albino project. i do not currently have a girl friend for him for the fact that i havent seen any albino het females that have caught my eye and yes i am going to go though the whole het thing with the albino too i dont care if i dont get visuals right away like i said i want to do it for the experiance my pleasure and to learn more and help people learn. if i make money along the way good for me. but all the money i put into these guy i have and all the work i put into them i don't need you here bashing me specially since im excited for my present first off and second off you'll see exactly what im talking about when i get the pics on here tomorrow and that a promise.

so if you have nothing nice to say or any encouragement i'd say dont say anything at all.

i know what to expect about all the breedings and all the hold backs im gonna have everyone is explaining this to me and i already understand what im getting myself into but having to people coming at me like that just doesnt work for me.
