Any Good News??

I know this seems silly but I am just feeling very down about my participation on this site and I wanted to hear some good news. If you have ANYTHING you are excited or happy about with regards to your reptile, bring it on, I want good news. For example I am positively thrilled that I have only misted my tank once today and the humidity is staying up (I put a humidifier in the room to help a bit and it helped more than I expected:)) If your excited about something you've built, a good deal on supplys for your pet, anything at all, I want to know.

I know we all have best intentions at heart, It's just difficult to see that sometimes. Everyone here is great, hugs to you all. (tear flick)

Yay for humidity!

I have some good news!
I have a lovely and well-loved jungle carpet python named Luna who we've been trying to breed with our male, Oberon, since about November. We saw TONS of lock-ups (including one less than ten minutes after introducing the two, lol!) but had to go out of town for a couple of weeks last month, and I'm starting to suspect that she ovulated while we were gone! She's plumping up like mad and we introduced Oberon back in for a week (just in case) and they showed ZERO interest in each other. She hasn't been coiling and only leaning on her side a LITTLE bit, so it kind of took me a while to figure out anything was going on, but I'm feeling pretty good about it! I'm SO excited, this could be our very successful breeding! :gj:

This is a great idea for a thread, I wanna hear more good news too!

Tomorrow I get to go to the Hillsboro Unique Animal Expo and pick up a new thermostat (no animals....not this time)

I just sent out the final payment for my female pastel ball and my female coastal carpet python

In the last week I got my first post ovulation shed of the season, I bought a male yellow belly, rescued a dog, started feeding with mice that I bred, and right now I'm looking for a snake to buy this weekend. I'm driving tomorrow to pick up 4 female leopard geckos - a RAPTOR, a SHTCTB and 2 blazing blizzards, so I'll probably be buying a male RAPTOR this week too. It's been a pretty good week for me!

My Spotted just had his first shed since we got him! Yay for perfect one piece sheds!

Trying to figure out what rack to buy, finally convinced the hubby to switch to a rack rather than having cages all over the house!

It's starting to look like it over here. I just found out I'm getting a male SHTCTB along with the females, in exchange for some of the jewel orchids I grew from clones. I'm trading my dart frogs and vivs for the female leos so I'll actually have more free space than I do now.

yay! just got home and the humidity only dropped to 57!! whoot with one spray this morning.

57 Minutes and I get to go home too! That's ALWAYS good news for me... Then it's feeding day :)

I have to give my little dude a shot tonight but the good news is that means he only has 5 left:)

We're getting a super awesome package from Adam on Monday!! And my lemon is in blue~ I love anticipating a perfect shed!!! And my boa comes when the nights get warmer!!! WooHooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooo hoping for a perfect shed next time around, this last one was not much fun. I am also waiting to see a poop because I think my little dude was constipated last time, I gave him warm bath when he was having his crappy shed and everything came out at once (urates and poop) and it was awefully hard. Im hoping that doesnt happen again.

And just to stay on topic, I get to sleep in tommorow!!! yay!!!

I switched from heat lamps to flexwatt today with lovely pre-wired Ranco t-stats from ReptileBasics...

I'm going to put in an order for one 32qt 4 tub rack and one 41qt 3 tub rack and a Helix DBS1000 Proportional Thermostat hopefully this weekend so that I'll have room for two new females. :banana::banana::banana:

In other news, I washed and waxed the truck, and will go do a side job tomorrow for some needed fundage! Yay!
