Another what should I get thread

Ok, I have about $700 to spend on a new female. I'm considering a few things

Right now I have:
1.1 het albinos
0.1 albino
1.0 spider
1.0 mojave
1.2 pastels
0.1 cinnamon
0.6 normals
1.0 YB

It may be just me but those Mojave's are breath taking!

A pair of het pieds or some more het albino females?

A female lesser would be a good addition but is a little over 700. If you want to stay in that range maybe a ghost or het clown pair.

I was adding a poll but I took to long. Females I'm thinking about getting:

woma ball
yb & granite
pinstripe
mojave
het caramel pair
het pied pair
het clown pair
male ghost & het female
start my 1/2 sleeve tattoo
other

I'm just kidding, if it were me, i'd get another male Albino so I could start breeding all albinos. BUt i'm a noob, and that's just what I want to do. I have just a normal right now, but would like something cool to breed it with.

If you like the recessives, I would go with them. It takes a while to see the benefits, but it is absolutely worth it.

Pieds, Clowns, Caramels... etc. :) Always a good choice.

I'd get either a female lesser or get your tat sleeve started.... :banana:

Scratch the mojave, I should be hatching enough mojos this year that it would be stupid to spend the money on an '07. I like the recessives, but my priorities now are all 3-4 morph combos for bright snakes. BELs don't fit into that plan right now. By the end of Daytona I plan to add a woma, fire, yb and lesser and maybe an Enchi. I really should get started raising up some recessive hets or hypos though. I just can't decide, but I guess I've had worse problems.

yeah, don't know about het for a codom like pastel, but a het hypo or visual hypo is a good idea given what he already has.....

You can have a het pastel;). Normal pastels are heterozygous, but we never refer to them that way.

Het does not mean recessive automatically.

I would get a het pied pair :gj:

Or you could look for some outstanding dinking projects? Lot of dinkers in $700 surely?

What I want to know is where you're buying these snakes from? I've visited websites listed here, and it seems like a lot of them are made by 4 year olds and are never done.

I've seen the NERD website, but all I can seem to find are just classifieds on their page, from other people. RCReptiles has some nice stuff, just waiting for his to finish breeding.

I was thinking about buying a few promising looking dinker projects, but with my bad luck I decided to wait until I have a better established collection. My first pairing with my cinny female will probably be a pastel if I don't have a male bee or pastave by then. I'm not in a total hurry to get super cinnies since I don't have a pied project to incorporate. I am looking forward to having an all black ball, but it will have to wait another year.

A Het Pastel would be a Normal het for Pastel, which is not possible.

I would go with a pair of het clowns if you can find a pair for $700.
